Our classic coastal 4 bedroom 3 bath cottage is the perfect family getaway! A large open living space that includes the kitchen and dining area is located upstairs. Just down the hall holds the main bathroom and 3 bedrooms (main has bathroom.) The ground level includes a 4th bedroom, 3rd bathroom with washer and dryer. It also boasts a pool table, a large sitting area with 2 couches and surround sound system. Step out the back to soak in the hot tub or out the front towards the DIRECT BEACH ACCESS! Come check us out! 🌊

Four parking spaces in the driveway, not to be used by RV or motor home. No smoking inside, discard butts appropriately. Ring camera disabled.

This property was just as listed. Tye kitchen had all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils to male eating in a breeze. We enjoyed how easy the walk to and from the beach was each day. All the rooms had plenty of closet room and drawer space. We would definitely would rent again.

OBX Rookies

This was our first trip to OBX and highly recommend ‘Shore Beats Work’! There’s plenty of space for six adults! The downstairs with pool table and tv was an added bonus! Jamie is an amazing host and gave wonderful restaurant recommendations to celebrate our daughter’s birthday! Thank you!

Family Fun

Beautiful two story property with plenty of room for nine people. Three bathrooms makes a big difference! The pool table was a hit with the younger crowd when we weren’t on the beach, cooking meals or exploring. Lots of wildlife visible in the clear water. The planning, check in and out could not have been easier. One of my favorite things was the door code entry, no keys to lose, we could come and go with no worries. Great memories were made. Thanks so much!

Perfect getaway

We had such a great stay. The host was super helpful & returned my messages immediately. The house is close to the beach but also included lots of fun stuff to do there on rainy days. Everything was super clean & we loved our check in package.

Property was exactly as listed and pictured and more. Decorated so nicely, kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Beds were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend and will book again next year!

Perfect house for our family!

This was the perfect house for our family vacation! We had five adults (two couples, one single) and two kids, ages 4 and 7. The house was a great size, rooms for everyone, including a bunk room for the kids. The kitchen and living room is one big open space which is nice. And the downstairs hang out area was awesome, with a pool table, air hockey, a TV, darts. If you had older kids it would be a perfect set up, somewhere for them to hang out, and upstairs for adults. Kitchen was nice and big, and had everything we needed to cook. I also appreciated the big dining room table that seats 8, so we could all eat together. The house was nice and clean when we got there, and in my opinion, furnished to the exact right point of feeling inviting and comfortable without feeling too stuffy or like you're just in so eone else's house. The walk to the beach is super easy, just a block and a half. We brought a wagon and loaded the tent and chairs and beach toys in it, and it was an easy stroll every morning, for everyone including the 4 year old and the 72 year old. There are plenty of dinner or entertainment options super close by too. Communication with the host was great, i got a personal confirmation right after booking, a message a week or two before the trip with all the details, and the door is a code lock so super easy to get in. And no crazy list of things to when leaving, just basic do dishes and take out the trash.

Great first OBX stay!

It was our very first stay at OBX. The house worked great for our family with the very short - and direct walk to beach. Grocery store was close by to grab essentials like toilet paper, laundry detergent and snacks. Very close to many places to eat. Great stay, can’t wait to return!

Great house for a small family!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Communication was great with the host! We were provided with a cute little list of things to do in the OBX and a welcome bag with some basics for the house. Overall a great experience and we look forward to coming back again.

Beach week

I stayed at the house with my daughter and her friends for graduation beach week. It was a quick walk to the beach and short drive to everything else. The girls enjoyed walking to the beach to see the sunrise each day. We were all very comfortable. It was a great trip.

Family Fun

Overall this was a good experience. This house has the potential to be great. A few small details were frustrating. For example, the wifi in the book had a typo. We found the correct password on the fridge a few hours later. I made the correction in the book for the next guest. Top floor was clean, well supplied and organized. Very cozy with bright beachy theme. Love all the natural sunlight. Downstairs metal ceiling and pool table room need a good cleaning and some of the lights don't work down there. 2 of the 3 full sized beds were very firm (hard). Great location with short, easy walk to the beach. Well stocked with family games. I especially enjoyed this as we played games we haven't played in years as well as a few new ones. Enjoyed chatting with the neighbor across the street!

Beach vacation!

Amazing location! Just a 5-minute walk to the beach and super close to restaurants, shopping, and the Wright Brothers Memorial. We had a fantastic time---sure wish we could have stayed longer! Jamie was great to work with and answered all of our questions within minutes!

The house wasn’t very clean. The kitchen tablecloth was sticky and had food all over it. We removed it and didn’t use it. The kitchen counter had food crumbs as well. The bathrooms were OK except the floors. The shower downstairs is not working properly. Sand comes up thru the drain and covers the floor of the shower. It’s risky flushing the toilet if the washing machine is running because it looks like it’s going to overflow, then it doesn't flush the waste. Whenever anyone flushes the toilets upstairs the downstairs toilet gurgles. Very musty smelling downstairs. The trash did not pick up on either Saturdays. When we arrived on Saturday, both trash cans were on the street and one still had trash in it. This was not a problem because we just put it out on the next trash day. When we left on Saturday, we put our trash out Friday night and the trash was still there Saturday morning at 9:15am. It would be very helpful if you put out a list of items you don’t supply. I have never stayed in a VRBO that was so under furnished. Your note said there would be laundry detergent and dishwasher pods in the bag, there were none. All we had was 6 tiny bars of soap for your hands. There are no hand towels in the bathrooms, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom. One bath towel per person? We called and asked for dish towels because all we had were microfiber towels and they will not absorb water. Whoever we spoke with said they would check and get back with us. We never received a response. We had to BUY dish towels to dry our dishes. One thing you do have is a great neighbor. His name is Marray (not sure if I have the correct spelling). He was awesome.

The property was exactly what the pictures showed! It was clean and had everything we needed. The extra trash days were a nice thing to have with so many people. Short walk to the beach, and close to a lot of restaurants.

Great place for a vacation

My friends and I had a great time at shore beats work. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, corn hole boards and pool table during the non beach days. It was a very convenient walk to the beach as well. We liked it so much we are already booked again for next year! Jamie was very responsive and even checked in on us during our stay. We’d definitely recommend it!

Summer Vacation 2021

This was a great house for our family vacation to the OBX this year. Our extended family travels to different cities every summer and this year was to have an experience with "flight!" The house had a great view of the Wright Memorial Monument and was super close to local hang gliding places including Jockey Ridge State Park and the Cotton Gin. Its also an easy walking distance to the beach. Our family fit very comfortably in the house for the whole week. We initially didn't have enough towels, and our hostess got us some immediately which was very impressive. Many thanks Jamie for an amazing home away from home.
