"The hotel was in need of a refresh/renovation. The room was large but dark. There were not enough lamps. Refrigerator was a good size. No microwave. Bathroom was very clean but dated. You entered from the outside like a motel. The door was not very secure. You could see light coming in all around the door. The hotel was located on the lake but had no beach. "Looks like the property has been recently upgraded Rooms were very good, clean, newly upgraded. Staff were miserable. At check in it appeared we were inconvenienceing them. Over three days only saw the breakfast girl smile. One day the cleaners did not close the room door properly so it was left open, unlocked. When I spoke with the cleaner they just shrugged. Have stayed in other Monte Carlos in the past and they were excellent. Don't know what was up with this staff."

"Location is convenient. Beds are decent. Some staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. We were staying one week and needed to work on our laptop and requested an extra chair in our room. The immediate response was unfriendly and a hard “no.” Decor is cold and uninviting (cold grey paint). Painting over mouldy caulking and mouldy paint is just lipstick on a pig."

"Good hotel for a short stay. Wish the breakfast was offered up to 10:00 am; went down at 9:30 am everything was closed. The person at the desk who welcomed us was very kind and professional. While the person at the desk when we left was unfriendly and unhelpful."
