The Wren's Nest at Scottland Yard Farm, a Romantic Cabin

The Wrens nest luxury glamping cabin on beautiful Scottland Yard farm in Fingerlakes region, upstate NY. We are just 15 minutes to Ithaca NY. This well appointed cabin is a spacious 10x16 with a sweet little porch. Your bed is premium! The bedding is luxurious with bamboo sheets and silk pillow cases! You have a coffee pot in your cabin with Scottland Yard farms finest coffee blend roasted for us by Copper Horse Coffee company! There is a charming outdoor shower and toilet a few steps from the cabin as well as two beautiful bathrooms with showers located in our Great Hall building by the natural pool.
A lovely pastoral view awaits you as you sip your morning coffee.

*The Wren's Nest isn't insulated and during the colder seasons, it can get chilly. This is a seasonal cabin, so please prepare for the weather accordingly. For our guests comfort and well being, we provide electric blankets and all beds are required to be made with the mattress protectors provided!


After a short walk you will find our Mercantile store, our Traveler’s trunk boutique and beautiful natural pond for swimming and relaxation. Every child 5 and under, or any non swimmer, must provide their own life jacket when in or around the pond. If any non swimmers are occupying the space without a life-jacket, they will be asked to leave the area.

The natural pond’s beauty and tranquility is complete with a lovely waterfall and our pet Koi! The Koi are always eagerly awaiting their koi treats from our guests. These treats can be purchased for $2 from our small Mercantile store along with horse treats, rabbit treats and bird treats. The mercantile also has snacks, local beverages and honey along with camp cooking supplies you may have forgotten. Our fun little travelers trunk boutique has some interesting finds from our travels as well as local homemade items!

There is a natural pond, swinging tree hammocks, children’s playground, bistro tables everywhere, coin op laundry mat with 1 washer and 1 dryer and plenty of farmland to explore! We border the lush and lovely Hammond Hill State forest. If you love cross country skiing, mountain biking and walks we border You have access to miles of state trails!! The barns and pastures are restricted from guests’ entrance. Scottland Yard community consists of several small clustered homesteads. Each Sunday is ‘Sunday funday’ BBQ at Scottland Yard from 2-7pm. Monday-Thursdays from 2-6 we have family swimming at Scottland Yard. Our guests often join us for this joyful time. If you happen to arrive or are enjoying the facilities during these hours, please know that you’re welcome to join us if you wish!

There are over 200 wineries in the Fingerlakes Region and many are within an hours drive. The closest one to us is Six Mile Creek Vineyard about 5 miles away. Visit waterfalls or state parks such as Buttermilk Falls, Taughannock, Robert H. Treman, Ithaca Falls.

Pet fee additional 35.00 per night per pet.

Cleaning Fee is a one time fee of $45.00 and is added to the accommodation price when booked

Rules
-swim at own risk- no lifeguard on duty
-Dishes used by you are to be washed, dried and put away after each use.
-No smoking in the tent! Ashtrays provided on property
-Pets fee is 35.00 per night per pet. They must be on leash at all times.
-Pets must get along with other pets and children.
-Pets may do their business in the nearby field. If business is done on the lawn it’s up to the owner to pick up and discard poop.
-Your pet must be crated inside if you leave him/her for any length of time.
-Pets must be up to date with their vaccinations and be free of fleas.
-Pets that bite other dogs or humans or exhibit any aggressive behaviors are not welcome and if brought to the farm will be asked to leave with their owners without any refunds given.

– If you are bringing an infant under 2 you must provide all their bed and bedding needs or they may sleep with you.
– Minimum 2 night stay if Booking on a Friday
– Quiet time begins at 11:00 PM. Please be conscious and respectful of other guests.

-Pond Policy-

Our pond are used entirely at the guest’s own risk.

There is no lifeguard on duty. Guests agree that:

-Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
-Children age 5 and under, and anyone who cannot swim confidently, must wear a
properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket while near or in the water.
-No diving.
-No running on docks, rocks, or wet surfaces.
-No horseplay
-Never swim alone
-Never consume alcohol while swimming
-Exit the water from the beach only.
-No playing or jumping from the rocks or pond edges
-No jumping off any of the pond stone areas!- Only the dock or high jump.
-Enter the pond from the beach, dock or high jump.
-Exit the water from the beach only.
-Only one person is permitted on the dock of high jump at a time
-No pets in the pond
-No glass containers in or around the swimming area.
-Guests assume all risks associated with use of the pond and surrounding property.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the pond area/property.

Earplugs are provided in the studio for guests who prefer not to rise with the birds.
***July 4th weekend- please take it into consideration before booking!

There are fireworks (that can be heard) nearby at the neighbors homestead. Our July 4th weekend guests are invited to attend the neighborhood display. The display is not on our property. Our farm is located close enough that the fireworks are still loud. Dogs, fellow travelers, and/or children traveling with you may get frightened during the 15 minute display.

Free check in is from 3PM to 9PM, if you are to arrive later that 9PM please be advised we will need to make special arrangements with staff and you will need to let us know before hand. Late check in fee $35 each hour past 9pm.

No early check ins or late check outs.

WiFi service can occasionally be impacted by weather, power outages, or provider-related issues that are outside of our control.
