Without a car it's a bit tricky to get to Hrisey, but totally worth the effort!
Looking out over the Fjord from Hrisey. Definitely worth the ferry price and the long wait while hitchhiking there!
On the ferry to Hrisey island. Well worth the hours it took to hitchhike to the ferry port (I'm notoriously unlucky when hitchhiking...). #waterlust

This was one of our favorite stays in Iceland, mainly because this is where we got to see the most incredible Northern lights! The place was nice and cozy. Very little outside lightning to allow guests to wait for the northern lights. Wonderful place, could’ve had more bacon, but loved our stay ...

Lovely location by the fjord. Lovely views, quiet and peaceful. Cosy cottage with great amenities, including the hot tub. We were very lucky to see the northern lights too on our last night from here.
