OLD HOMOSASSA - This three bedroom, two bath waterfront stilt home, in a GOLF CART community, is midway between the blue waters of the head springs and the Gulf of Mexico, at the beginning of the "fast zone" to the Gulf. Hop in your boat - it's a fast trip down river to the Gulf (about 15 minutes). Or, go up river, a leisurely trip to six waterfront restaurants/bars, many with live entertainment, as well as to the "blue water" at the head springs of the Homosassa River. Rent a golf cart and cruise to 8 restaurants and bars. The Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is less than three miles away, and Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, home of the mermaids, is about 30 minutes' drive.
The gated yard has all the amenities you could ask for, including 300' of waterfront with unmatched views and sunsets. Enjoy a day of scalloping and come home for a nice cool dip in the above ground pool. Plenty of outdoor dining options, and even a fire pit. Launch your boat at a nearby boat ramp, and tie your boat up in protected waters on the sea wall, away from the main river traffic.
Minimum 7 night stay- Saturday to Saturday.

RENTAL AGREEMENT
Guest acknowledges the Property is on a body of water, there is no fence blocking access to the water from the Property and there is no lifeguard on duty at or near the Property. Guest assumes all risks of damage, personal injury or death, arising from the proximity of the Property to the water and the use of the water for any purpose. This provision extends to Guest, the rental party and all other persons on the Property at the request or with the consent of Guest or any member of the rental party during the term of the lease. Guest will indemnify and hold Homeowner harmless from any and all claims, loss, cost, damage or expense arising from or relating to such risks.
Smoking is NOT allowed in the house; Smoking is allowed outside only. Cigarette butts need to be put in the garbage or you will incur a $50.00 fine.
People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.
The property is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
NOTE: Your Safety Matters. This property features 3 exterior security cameras. The cameras have a view of only the exterior of the house and yard and actively record outdoor video and sound.
Only use appliances for their intended uses - notify homeowner IMMEDIATELY if anything stops functioning properly.
Up to two dogs allowed, under 50 lbs. each with $30 per night fee. Additional charges for any damages. Please clean up after your pet in the yard.
No events, parties or large gatherings.
Parking:
PARKING – There is ample parking for up 3 vehicles and 2 boat trailers. Guests may park vehicles or trailers on the asphalt inside our gate and in the driveway in front of the house. The vacant lot across the street is NOT part of our property. DO NOT drive or park on it. The ground is soft and YOU WILL GET STUCK! Guest will be responsible for cost to repair any ruts or damage to that property.
Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the house.
Extra Fees: Late Check out - $50.00, Yard cleanup of fireworks or garbage in yard or fire pit - $50.00, Extra Cleaning fees - $25.00 per hour (normal cleaning is 4 hours) - Missing towels or sheets = replacement price. Cigarette Butts on the ground or in the yard = $50.00. Please respect our property.
Storms:
If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless:
The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or
A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest.
The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund:
Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered;
Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and
Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period.
Kayak and Paddle Board usage waiver-
I fully understand and acknowledge that: (A) outdoor recreational activities have inherent risks, dangers, and hazards and such exist in my use of paddle sport equipment and my participation in paddle sport activities. (B) my participation in such activities and/or use of such equipment may result in injury or illness including, but not limited to bodily injury, disease, strains, fractures, partial and/ or total paralysis, death or other ailments that could cause serious disability. Risks and dangers may arise from foreseeable or unforeseeable causes including, but not limited to weather, trail or ocean conditions, and water level, risk of falling out of or drowning while paddle sporting and such other risks, hazards and dangers that are integral to recreational activities that take place in a wilderness, ocean, outdoor, or recreational environment.
By my participation in these activities and/ or use of equipment, I hereby assume all risks and dangers and all responsibility for any losses.
I, on behalf of myself, my personal representatives and my heirs, hereby voluntarily agree to release, discharge, hold harmless, defend and indemnify the owners from any and all claims, actions or losses for bodily injury, property damage, wrongful death, loss of services or otherwise which may arise out of my use of paddle sport equipment or premises. I specifically understand that I am releasing, discharging, and waiving any claims or actions that I may have at present time or in the future for the negligent acts or other conduct by the owners
I HAVE READ THE WAIVER AND RELEASE, AND BY BOOKING THIS HOUSE, I AGREE IT IS MY INTENTION TO EXEMPT OWNERS FROM LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR WRONGFUL DEATH CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE OR ANY OTHER CAUSE.
BY BOOKING THIS HOUSE I have agreed to the terms of this rental.
