"The room smelled like cleaning products. Windows don’t open. Very hot at night. No air conditioning ( and window don’t open). Breakfast delivered to room but very limited. All cold carbs except small warmed quiche. All this would be fine if it was half the price."

"I knew the property was a remodeled motel So that being said they did a good job with the exterior ~lots of hanging baskets The breakfast was typical of Major hotels. I liked that you could walk easily to the town and beach We went in April which was cooler than expected The only thing I noticed was not sure it has air conditioning? We didn’t need it but if summer gets hot I’m not sure I would stay there without, I would check"

"When you first look at this place you think it is just a fancy motel 6 ... but then you look deeper and it really shines. The breakfasts were wonderful - kind of like American dim sum - small plates of lots of different types of breakfast. A couple of pieces of French toast, avocado toast bites, poached egg, fruit cup, etc. It really was way better than we ever expected. The rooms were nicely appointed. "We stayed here for a couple nights after a drive to Big Sur and the 17 mile drive. We loved the hot tub and fireplace! Room was large and decor was pretty and enjoyed the big comfy bed! Could have used a microwave but the fridge was good size. The walk to shopping, restaurant, and the beach was easy. We would recommend this property snd would stay here again. "

"Relaxing and peaceful"

"So clean and the room was cozy. We were unsure as there were four of us sharing a room after the BIG SUR marathon and we were very pleased with our space. Fireplace added perfect ambiance. Breakfast in a basket each am was cute! Hot tub and garden area after the race was peaceful and much needed and the wine tasting and light bites after! The staff was super friendly! Would not hesitate to stay here again! "

"We had a great stay. The inn was perfect.. charming, clean, staff friendly. Nice small heated pool. Was in the heart of downtown, easy to walk to all of the shops and restaurants as well as the beautiful beach. Good value and a great short stay."

"Everything was great. Small things could be better: In the room, "Heat" did nothing, but setting the Thermostat to 'cooling' actually switched the HEAT and fireplace on... (room 104). Also, it would be lovely if the top windows could be somehow covered like the patio ones - it gets super bright in the morning. But overall, great stay, one of the best in Carmel, and Parking is a big plus."

"Delightfully charming boutique hotel, just 1 street back from the beach. Room was beautiful with gas fire, fantastic bathroom and bay window looking onto the gardens. Staff were great and went out of their way to help with any request (they even had a chauffeur drop off service for dinner at Pebble Beach) Full Breakfast cooked to order was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Romms are very small for &1,300 per day. Noise is unbearable. Large wedding party without advising the prospective guests. Noise from other rooms is loud. Very late check in. Ocean views are very far and small."

"Amazing hotel!!! The staff were so friendly and accomodating. The only thing is that there is no A/C since the property is older so keep that in mind BUT they do have fans to give you if needed. But they were amazing, bed was comfy and great views"
