  • Se trata de mis abuelas primera casa que compró en su 12º movimiento, alrededor de 1937 Esta casa se convirtió en mi casa junto con mi hermana mayor y un hermano de nuestra madre y el padre hizo su casa con nuestra abuela. Hemos decidido mantener la casa y alquilarla a los turistas que quieran pasar tiempo con la familia con la relajación y disfrutar de estancia en la casa de las abuelas. Hay 3 dormitorios en planta alta, uno con cama de matrimonio y 2 con camas dobles y cuarto de baño completo y 1 dormitorio planta baja con cama de matrimonio y con inodoro y lavabo en el dormitorio y la lavadora y la secadora se encuentra en esta habitación también. El salón tiene una chimenea de gas de pie que calienta toda la casa con la puerta abierta de arriba. Esta casa está completamente amueblada y también tiene algunos tesoros de la de ella sigue ahí.
    Se encuentra en un entorno rural con 2 porches para establecer y disfrutar de los preciosos alrededores de la madre naturaleza. Ciervo pasta en el campo a través del camino casi todas las noches. En frente de nuestra propiedad del gobierno es dueño de toda la tierra, donde la pesca de la caza, el senderismo y la exploración de la madre naturaleza es por la puerta principal. El camino es un gran camino para caminar o llevar su bicicleta y disfrutar de montar en estos West Virginia carreteras secundarias y disfrutar de la belleza de la zona. Esta casa se encuentra a sólo 5 metros del agujero del cañón de humo, donde el río del sur de Rama es abastecido cada primavera de marzo, abril y mayo y octubre.
    Ven a quedarte en la casa de las abuelas, no creo que te decepcionará. Darlene, mi hermana, vive en la gran casa de ladrillo que puedes ver si estás sentado en el porche trasero y al entrar en Tract Mtn Rd. Si necesita utilizar un teléfono, ya que no hay servicio de teléfono celular aquí y no hay línea fija sin ir en ninguna dirección 4 millas, estaría feliz de dejar que use su teléfono. Es una ventaja que mi hermana vive cerca para responder cualquier pregunta que pueda tener después de su llegada.

This stay was amazing, very comfortable and cozy household. I truly enjoyed the look and feel of the house, close to seanic routes and beautiful locations.

Beautiful area with only the light of the moon and stars at night and the sounds of the birds in the morning. The house was darling and had everything we needed.

This reminded me so much of a Grandma’s house. It is nestled in beautiful West Virginia. Plenty of space for my family and our dog. We had a great time.

Beautiful, peaceful retreat

Well maintained farm house is the perfect place to unplug. We hiked and drove back roads in Pendleton county.The lists of things to do, hand drawn maps, and lists of restaurants were handy.

Great place to get away

We absolutely loved our quick stay after picking kids up from camp. This was a great place to unwind and get some quiet family time in before jumping back into life. The area is beautiful and the house was charming with everything you could need. We look forward to coming back again to unplug!

Grandma’s house; home away from home.

We loved the property. Grandma must have been a great lady, her home so inviting and lovely.So quiet and comfy, just what we needed after hiking to Chimney Tops as a family. The bed gave me a wonderful night’s sleep.Her treasures gave her he place an extra level of beauty and conversations. Grandpa had wonderful taste and I am happy we had an opportunity to share the experience.Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Charming and just as described!

This was a charming and comfortable house! Even smelled like my grandmother’s house a little when I walked in - in a good way! Make sure to go outside and look at the stars if staying here. We were able to see the Milky Way due to the lack of light pollution.

This house was perfect for our little get away. Quite and remote with no wifi and cellphones. Made it enjoyable to spend quality time with my son. The house was very clean and a very welcoming home feelings when entering. Easy acces for parking. We look forward to booking next year during his next camp.

Great stay in West Virginia

We enjoyed our stay at Grandma's House for one night while on a family vacation through West Virginia. The home was clean and had everything we needed. We would recommend to anyone. The location is quiet and secluded on the owner's family farm. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, even leading us on a hike up the mountain to a family cemetery. Thank you! We had a great time.

As advertised

We enjoyed our stay and everything as as advertised. The instructions for getting there could have been a bit more clear because there are two different Tract Mountain roads in the area and it's kind of easy to get lost. There is a short and a long way to get there from 220.

Property was just an old farm house. I didnt exspect much but i will say there is 3 channels 2 of which were info commerical channels. I have been in many old farm houses with family living in them. This one is in need of repair i was in down stairs bed room and once my friend was in upstairs bedroom i am sure the bed was comming through the floor the floor was bowing. Also there was no water pressure one point in the evening and little water pressure the rest of the stay.

Lovely country home

Grandma's house is a lovely home in a beautiful location. The home is very well taken care of and is quite comfortable. This was my second stay here and I look forward to staying there again in the future. Property owner is always quick to respond to any questions and is always very helpful with her responses. Highly recommend!!!

Come for a place to sleep, stay for a truly unique experience.

While the description and reviews state that this place is authentic, I had absolutely no idea just how true that would be. The house is situated on a large piece of very rural land with amazing views and a very private experience. In the entire weekend I saw one car pass on the road. The property owner /manager was top notch in that we never met or interacted during our stay, yet was only a phone call away. This is the private experience I was looking for. It really was as if mammaw was out of town and asked us to watch the house for the weekend. Every detail was spot on as far as the theme is concerned. Right down to the alarm clocks, hand written notes to help you use the old house without breaking it. This was really a very special experience and I really did not expect it to be. I would only suggest that a fire pit of some sort would be the icing on the cake on a starry night.
