Fish Creek’s little treasure!

My husband and I enjoyed our wine in the library every evening before walking to dinner. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed learning about the history of the Inn from the owner and innkeeper! Loved exploring Door County. We would definitely stay there again!

Great choice for Door County

We had a lovely stay at the Thorp House Inn in Fish Creek. We were a couple on vacation, and stayed in the Jessie which was perfect for us. Matt and Darlene were wonderful hosts. Thanks for the great recommendations on dining and Door County activities! The room was classy, large and comfortable. Perfectly situated in Fish Creek, walking distance to everything. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Fast and free internet. TV with lots of channels. Free parking in front. Breakfast was light and tasty. We'll definitely stay again on our next trip to Door County!!

We had a delightful weekend stay at Thorp House Inn. The owners were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious. The rooms are quiet, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The inn is comparable to the White Gull in quality but the pricing is a better value at Thorp Inn. We would definitely stay again while in Fish Creek.

Enjoyable stay at Thorp House

Thorp House Inn is really cute and makes for a nice getaway. The staff is extremely accommodating and ensures that your every need is taken care of. The room was a tad bit small, but that's probably the one thing they can't change. :) Overall, highly recommended.

A stay that takes you back in time!

My husband and I came to the Thorp House to celebrate our one year anniversary. It was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast, and they definitely set the bar high! Everything was perfect. The house is beautifully decorated and well maintained. It is absolutely immaculate! Both Matt and Darlene are wonderful, so accommodating and extremely friendly. We did not want to leave and cannot wait to come back!

Mid week stay.

Coffee, refrigerator area not conducive to come and go couples. Not well stocked for after hours when staff is gone. More coffee selection would be nice touch along with napkins and to go cups. Should advise customers on the front end, stairs are steep and should pack accordingly if staying in main house, especially for those over 70. Great appeal of the past !

Perfect Honeymoon

I can?t tell you how amazing this place is. Everyone is super kind and the place is picture perfect! No need to drive from this location everything is within walking distance. Stay in the Evril room, just beautiful!

Dove Cottage

We enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect. You are in town but it is still very charming and quiet. We (2 of us) stayed in the Dove Cottage. Very charming. Very small bathroom. If you are a large person and don't like tight living quarters, select another cottage. The hot water was hot and the cold water cold - very nice! It has all the amenities you need if you are going to be out and about on the town.

Very nice, Great location

We stayed this past week in one of the cottages. Great location in Fish Creek. We left the car parked and walked everywhere. The cottage was nicely decorated, but for the price ($300/night) lacked in comparison to other similar places. No coffee packets, tupperware or aluminum foil. When you bring your own food, be sure to pack these items as well. And, there is a Weber grill, but no charcoal or tools for grilling. We found out that the rented rooms in the house go for quite a bit less and a breakfast is included. We were told that those staying in the cottages do not get to partake in the breakfast. Just seemed a bit odd.

Great Little Cabins in Fish Creek

The cabin we rented was perfect for our family as far as location for eating and shopping was concerned. It was cozy and well-decorated as well as very clean. The four person limit is probably correct, although with a double and a twin in one room, five worked ok. We plan to rent more cabins to return next year.

Wonderful stay in the Dove cottage.

We stayed 4 nights in the Dove cottage. Perfect for our family of three. Cozy and well-appointed cottage. Beautiful view of green bay from our deck. Location was excellent. Walked and biked into Fish Creek and Peninsula State Park. Looking forward to a return visit!

Great time!

I had been wanting to try this place for a long time, and I am glad we did. It is a very quaint and quiet setting right off of the main street in Fish Creek. It's location made it very convenient to walk to different shops, reataurants, and the beach. After trying it, I don't know if the Bed and Breakfast is really our thing, but I think it is perfect for couples seeking a B&B experience. We missed having a mini-fridge in our room to store leftovers, snacks, or wine. Other than that, it had any other modern convenience you could want. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The innkeeper was very hospitable and friendly. We weren't sure what to expect sharing breakfast with everyone in the morning, but it was very nice talking to other people and learning about where they were from or sharing favorite Door County activities. Overall we were very pleased with our stay, and are considering trying one of the cottages next time.

Anniversary Getaway

This was our 2nd stay at the Thorp House Inn and definitely our favorite place to stay in Fish Creek. We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary during our stay and when we arrived they had a bottle of champagne waiting for us. This was such a special surprise and so incredibly thoughtful! Our room was a Victorian style room with queen bed, double whirlpool and fireplace (Jessie). This is a romantic, quaint and comfortable Inn. The front porch was a favorite spot to enjoy our morning breakfast and a lovely place to relax with a bottle of wine in the evening. The Innkeeper Melanie was so helpful in making suggestions for things to do and places to dine. Lauren and Courtney were friendly and also made our stay enjoyable. The Thorp House Inn is conveniently located in walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and beach in Fish Creek. It is also a short drive to many other neighboring towns in Door County. We look forward to a return stay at the Thorp House Inn!

Wonderful Stay AND Newly Engaged

My new fiance and I had another wonderful stay at the Thirphouse! This was our third visit and we got engaged on the trip! We were given a free bottle of champagne and they even took a few engagement pictures for us around the inn to commemorate the occasion. We always have great service and it's very clean. It's also in a great location in the Door County area, close to many restaurants and shops! We will be back!

Wonderful! We must go back!!

The property was immaculately kept! Gorgeous gardens, every detail beautifully maintained and decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the quail cottage. Because we didn't stay in the main house, I can't review the onsite dining, as it isn't not a part of the cottage rental, but I did see that the table was set in fabulous antique china, no detail missed or overlooked. And it smelled delicious! An absolute MUST!!
