"Highly recommend. The hotel was clean, modern and rooms very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks of an evening were relaxed and on the Friday and Saturday there were singers on. The swimming pool and spa facilities were lovely. More water fountains needed! Breakfast was tasty and good quality, however on the Saturday morning we had to wait about 20 minutes for eggs! "I enjoyed my stay at the Alma Lodge Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was easy to get a late drink at the bar. The breakfast was quite varied and staff checked that items were maintained regularly, unlike in many other hotels I have stayed at in the past. I would be happy to stay at the Alma Lodge again."

"The room was small but adequate and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfasts and had plenty to choose from. The bar staff were pleasant and helpful. It would have been good to have some evening lights on the outside path down to the town. The gardener had a difficult job to clear the leaves from the path. He did a good job"
