"Staff where very friendly, but it was a maze to get to the room, clearer signs need to be put up to direct people to their rooms. Due to warm weather it would have been ideal for the rooms to have A/C"

"The first night was noisy a car came into car park at 2am and was blasting music out and guest or two banging doors and knocking on door The second night was better. Only a two night stay for an event. Housekeeping on Saturday did not replace complimentary tea and coffee bin not emptied and beds not straightened up after 1st night. It's basic no thrills hotel. Also lift out of order."

"Very pleasant stay for 1 night attending a business meeting locally. They can use an extra pair of hands behind the bar for the early hours of the evening when there was a bit of a queue. Otherwise couldn't fault the place and will gladly be back again."

I made a mistake leaving a shirt and jeans in my room after leaving, the staff were incredibly helpful in assisting me in getting the items posted back to my house - really went the extra mile. "Clean room & Clean inside overall. The member of staff on duty on Saturday was extremely helpful. Appliances need to be checked for safety & other guests should remember to close doors carefully especially after 11pm. All in all a good stay & cool room very welcome on a hot weekend."

"Was disappointed as I booked with Expedia, expecting to be able to use the facilities at the hotel. On checking in, I enquired about the facilities and was informed that if I had booked directly with the hotel, I would have been able to use the pool and gym and get breakfast included. To use the gym and pool, I would have to pay extra."

"Beautiful property in a beautiful village. Very large beer garden, large bathroom with a bath (instead of a standard shower). They provided a fan to partially compensate for lack of A/C (during a record breaking heatwave), but wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if ever in South Yorkshire. Easy FREE parking."
