"Good rooms and showers. The food we ordered"

"The room is very tidy and clean. I find the room seems newly renovated. It was a cold night and I have the heater on and the room warm up very fast. The room was quiet at night even it’s a Saturday night. Quite a different narrative to the receptionist warn me while check in. Probably my room is at far end and facing other side."

"Great staff, Janet especially! Overall great stay.."

"Overall: Good stay, but limited food options The breakfast here was really excellent — fresh, tasty, and plenty of choice. That was definitely the highlight of my stay. However, the lunch and dinner options are quite limited. The menu is mostly sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and steaks — not much variety at all. In my opinion, the food just isn't worth the price. On the plus side, the drinks are reasonably priced for a hotel."

"We chose this hotel/pub as it was close to the Bombay Sapphire distillery, I think most people staying were there for the same thing. We were not too sure what to expect as their communication has been awful, I emailed several times over the last few months and had no response at all. I had emailed and asked for an inside room after reading several reviews saying that the outside stable rooms were dark and dingy; needless to say when we arrived we were booked into an outside room! The...

"a bath and a shower is provided in the ensuite bathroom, the room was a good size and well appointed with a pleasing view notwithstanding being located in the central part of the town. Adequate parking where the street parking for any long period is almost non existent."

"Spa is the worste ever.. Mould between the pool tiles.. Steam. Room. Door not working... In the room shower with mould... For. 4 stars is quite unexpected"

"We have stayed here a couple of times , they go above and beyond to make it a pleasant stay, they also include an excellent breakfast plus another nice touch is the tipple in the room ,"

"I have stayed here a few times before. This time I needed to be at a meeting early in the morning so arrived at 9pm in the evening. We went straight to the bar to have a night cap. Unfortunately they were closing the bar “in 5 Mins” so only got one drink in before it closed. The air con in the room didn’t work so the small window in the room was all I had. Which means I had the curtains open to let as much air in as possible- not nice for a ground floor room that backed into cars. The electric...

"Good points: Breakfast was a very good mix of cooked food, cereals, fruit, pastries etc with a decent coffee machine and juice. All help yourself. The swimming pool, while not large, was heated to a decent temperature and the same depth throughout…good for kids. It could have benefitted from having a few hotel-provided floatation devices and the showers turned off very quickly, but the shampoo and shower gel provided were also decent quality. Bad/improvement points: Booked a room with a sofa-bed...

"Very disappointing experience. When we arrived and entered our room, we discovered there was no toilet roll in the bathroom. I called reception to ask for some, only to be told that they were too busy to help and that we would have to walk back to reception ourselves — which was approximately a quarter of a mile away. Rather than apologising or offering to resolve such a basic issue, the member of staff actually argued with me over the phone. I found their attitude extremely unhelpful, rude and...
