The patio garden provides a lovely spot to unwind with outdoor seating, perfect for soaking up the sun, or enjoying a sundowner. There is charcoal BBQ, perfect for the warmer months (please note we do not provide charcoal, but here are BBQ utensils).

EATING OUT
For a relaxed meal by the sea, Billy’s on The Beach is a fantastic choice, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner within walking distance of the house. Also nearby, The Goat is a lovely coffee shop serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

For takeaway options, you’ll find a fish and chips shop and a Chinese takeaway just a short walk away.

For a classic pub experience, The Old House at Home serves a diverse menu, including pub favorites and a delicious Sunday roast. In nearby Pagham, The Lamb Inn is a cosy traditional pub with an open fire—perfect for the colder months!

For a special meal, The Crab and Lobster sits on the banks of Pagham Harbour, offering fresh, locally sourced seafood and dishes made with ingredients from Selsey fishermen and neighboring dairy farms.

For a mix of fine dining and casual eats, Apuldram’s Croucher’s Hotel has two excellent restaurants:

Bus Station: Bus stop is just a short walk from the property, located on the Main Road into Bracklesham.
Chichester Train Station: 15- minute drive
London: Trains from London Victoria to Chichester run every 30 minutes and take approximately 1.5 hours.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
West Wittering Beach is a stunning sandy Blue Flag beach within a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Largely undeveloped, it retains its natural beauty, making it perfect for walkers, swimmers, paddleboarders, and kite surfers.

Pagham Harbour and Medmerry Reserve are peaceful nature reserves and one of the few remaining undeveloped stretches of the Sussex coast. This internationally significant wetland is home to incredible wildlife, including black-tailed godwits and little egrets. Stay for sunset—it’s breathtaking!

Just a 4-minute drive from the property, Rewild Sauna offers a one-of-a-kind wood-fired, beachside sauna experience in Bracklesham Bay. This beautifully designed sauna provides breathtaking sea views across to the Isle of Wight. Whether you’re an avid cold-water swimmer or simply looking to relax and recharge by the coast, this tranquil retreat is the perfect place to unwind.

For a scenic walk, follow Salterns Way from West Wittering Beach towards Itchenor and Chichester Marina. Stop for a bite to eat at The Ship Inn or The Quarterdeck Café in Itchenor. From the slipway, take the Itchenor Ferry across to Bosham, then enjoy a picturesque 30-minute harbour walk to the historic Saxon village, home to a church featured in the Bayeux Tapestry, along with charming waterfront cafés and pubs.

The Roman town of Chichester is 8 miles north of West Wittering. The pedestrian-friendly city centre boasts boutique shops, cafés, galleries, and Chichester Cathedral, which features a unique separate bell tower—home to nesting Peregrine Falcons.

For breathtaking panoramic views, hike to The Trundle, the highest point on the South Downs Way, located within the Goodwood Estate.

West Dean Gardens (on the Midhurst Road) is one of England’s most beautifully restored gardens, featuring a grand pergola and a historic arboretum. Right next door, the Weald & Downland Living Museum showcases historic buildings reconstructed brick by brick, offering a glimpse into Sussex’s rich past.

CHECK IN/CHECKOUT
Check in time is after 4pm and check out time is before 10am. Please can we ask that you check out on time to prevent any disruption to the cleaner's schedule.
Please note a fee of £100 for lost keys and £50 for call outs if locked out.

CLEANING/ LINEN
The property will be cleaned and prepared with linen and towels for your arrival. Mid-stay cleans are not included, but please get in touch if you would like to pay to book a clean or fresh linen and towels during your stay.

We will also provide a limited amount of consumables (toilet rolls, shampoo/conditioner etc.) to kick-start your stay and can recommend a local store where you can easily purchase more when you are settled in.

PETS
One small, well behaved dog is welcome to join you on your holiday in the cottage, for an additional fee of £30 to cover extra cleaning. Please message in advance with the details of your pet (breed/age).
- Dogs must be well behaved and house trained.
- Please do not allow them upstairs or on the furniture.
- Please clear up after them in the garden and around the property.
- Muddy paws should be cleaned before they are allowed in the house.
- Please do not leave them alone in the property.

YOUNG CHILDREN
Kindly inform us at the time of booking if you require a cot or high chair. Please note, we do not provide cot bedding or linen, so we ask that you bring your own.
