Cozy 2BR/1BA Garden Apartment Near Lincoln Square

Experience top quality in a spacious garden-level apartment during your next visit to Chicago. This garden (basement) level apartment has two bedrooms and one bathroom.

You will have the entire apartment to yourselves, and you will feel at home with much space and privacy. The living area is spacious with a large dining area. There is a sunroom in the apartment that can be used for office-style activities or yoga.

5-minute walk to the brown line and minute's drive to Lincoln Square!
The space
Spacious garden (basement) level apartment features a large living + dining area, full kitchen, two bedrooms, one bathroom, and access to the shared laundry area. The unit is newly rehabbed to condo standard with brand-new appliances and amenities. Note: Potential for noise as the unit is below other units in the family residential building.

The kitchen is fully equipped with quality kitchen appliances, utensils, and many more items that you will find useful. The bedrooms are spacious and feature closets for storage areas.

Good value but not near Wrigley Field as the listing states. It is about a 20 to 25 minute car ride on game day. The residents who live in the upstairs building are fairly noisy throughout the evening. The unit was not cleaned thoroughly, with wet towels hanging in the closets and carpets visibly not vacuumed well. Parking is brutal, so if you find a spot, don't leave if at all possible. The space is functional and has two nice sized bedrooms. Shower has been updated and is spacious. Overall, it is a good value for the area (but again, is much further from Wrigley Field than the listing indicates.)

The property is a basement level apartment in a building with other tenants. Any movement in the upper apartments is heard clearly including when the neighbors have a party until 3am. The space itself is in need of a deep clean and smelled musty upon entering. The supplies in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) were almost empty or watered down to the point of no longer being soapy. In addition, you have no control over the thermostat as it is controlled remotely by the owners which requires you to message them for any adjustments. Overall, the space met our needs as it provided a safe place to sleep but it needs some TLC, especially for the price per night.

Decent Place

The place was clean but very cold even when the heat was requested to be turned up. Probably just part of being in a basement. Overall, it was a great place but wish there was a Keurig and complimentary coffee. Coffee was the one thing I didn’t think about bringing.

Clean, safe, and as advertised. Both bedrooms need bed table reading lamps; the overheads are not useful for reading in bed.

Great location and price for our stay

Close to shops, supermarkets, and the brown line or buses. The apartment was clean and the neighbourhood is safe. Earplugs are a must to sleep undisturbed. The upstairs neighbours are very loud and their hard floors are poorly insulated so a lot of sound comes through the ceiling. Neighbours seemed to come in late at night, and stay up to make a lot of noise. In the day, I think there is a large dog walking around/ dragging things about. The internet barely worked - only 3AM to 7AM when I presume the other people using it were asleep.

Nice quiet neighborhood. Easy walking distance to several restaurants and the L train. Decent amenities and overall worked great for 3 friends to enjoy a Chicago vacation
