"The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location. The walk-in shower was lovely. The bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning worked well. The room was a good size. It would be good to have more hangers in the wardrobe. There wasn't a safe in the room. The breakfast was nice. The rooftop bar was great and a really nice place for us all to meet for drinks before we went out for dinner. I would definitely stay here again for the price we paid. "

"Wonderful stay at By The Sea. Clean hotel, friendly staff, beautiful view and location. No elevator which was fine with us on 2nd floor but perhaps 4th floor guests might find it difficult with heavy luggage. Still a 5 star hotel! "

"Really cool little hotel (16 room) in the center on Coimbra. Rooms are all very well decorated. Breakfast in good quality. In the middle of most of the sights and restaurants - the university is at the top of the hill which is a “challenging” walk. Only issue was the reception - not always somebody there for checkin and door is locked. "
