"The pic on Expedia doesn’t look. Nothing like the rooms. It’s a basic motel."

"Blowing Rock is a beautiful little town. Unfortunately, big conglomerates are buying up the small hotel properties, and the personal service that was once the rule is now lacking entirely. We stayed at Azalea Inn and were disappointed. To start, we had to go to a different property to check in. During our whole stay, there was never any staff onsite at Azalea. The grounds are lovely, but it's an old building. We stayed in a "deluxe" room for our anniversary, but had to climb a dark, smelly...

"This is a very well-maintained older property that is convenient to central Blowing Rock. You could park here and enjoy the town without driving. Although close in, it was quiet. The manager was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions for dining. The room was fairly small, but neat and clean. It's not fancy by Blowing Rock standards, but it had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable - I slept better than at home. The property was also nicely landscaped, with lovely outside...

The location couldn’t have been better—just minutes from the charming shops and excellent restaurants in downtown Blowing Rock, making it easy to leave the car behind and explore on foot. "Great location, clean in like new condition"

"Everything was great. Only problem lock on balcony door did not work it was repaired within couple days."

"The location is great, being within walking distance of center of Blowing Rock. Parking is convenient being right in front of room. Room was clean and consistent with prior stays over the years. Only thing that should be improved is better quality toilet paper. The single ply is not in keeping with the overall positive expeir."

"Stayed on the top 4th floor and was very noisy - headboards were vibrating from the roof top mechanical fans for the air conditioners. help desk told me the next morning that they have that problem a lot and have to move people to other rooms. I told them that they should have offered that the night before so that we could have slept better . Beautiful new place and very clean. Just need to get some sound proofing on the 4th floor -"
