"Room clean and well appointed. Had asked for ground floor room as I have mobility issues but not given but was immediately changed when asked about this. My friend was also changed so that we had next door rooms. I was cold during night but following morning was given extra duvet and maintenance came and showed me how to alter heating control. I had highered the bathroom floor heating instead of the room. Lovely continental breakfast. Very satisfied all round."

"The room was large and in a quiet part of the hotel. Staff for booking in and in the bar and breakfast room were helpful and nice. No passing traffic made for a very restful night's sleep. Breakfast was comprehensive with continental or cooked options."

"Charming but in need of updating. Peaceful area and a nice hour's stroll (or less) into the attached Manor Park and its lovely pinetum. It was very muddy and boggy in the park in February, wellies are a must! Our room (12) was classed as a 'superior' but I don't think that was warranted. "As with the HIE at East midlands airport 2 days ago, everything was great. The only down side was that the water in the shower wasn't too hot."

"The staff were amazing, and the room was okay in terms of size and cleanliness. The only downside is how noisy some of the guests can be, but there's not much the staff can do about that. "
