  • This stunning farmhouse is the perfect secluded spot for families to gather for a get together and enjoy the beautiful countryside surrounding the house, the views that great you when you arrive at the property instantly make you feel relaxed. There is a lovely off road walk from the bottom of the garden to the local pub that offers wonderful food and a great atmosphere.

    Arriving at the property there is plenty of parking for guests on the large driveway. Entering the house into the main hall there is a large sitting room with lots of comfortable sofas and a smart TV and double casement doors looking out on to the beautiful gardens. The kitchen is a real feature of this house and with everything you could need to comfortably self cater for your stay including Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, wine fridge, fridge and freezer, double electric oven and gas hob, kettle, toaster and boiling water tap. There is a dining area tucked away in the kitchen looking out onto the garden and with cosy bench window seating (can be extended to accommodate 16),

    Along the corridor from the kitchen area with lovely outlook onto the garden, you can find the play room, children are more than welcome to use the toys. From this area there is a staircase to the last two bedrooms, one double and one twin and a further bathroom with shower over the bath.

    On the first floor in the main house there are 3 bedrooms, the master is a king size with and en suite shower room, there are two twin rooms with a family bathroom with shower over the bath. All of the beds are luxuriously comfortable with high quality bedding.

    Back into the main house and down into the basement you will find the real surprise of this wonderful house...the cinema room is fabulous with squashy seating so you can snuggle up and enjoy your favourite move on the projector screen. To the rear of this room there is a pool table which guests are welcome to enjoy.

    Outside the sprawling garden reaches as far as the treeline where you will find the gate that leads to the local pub. There is a secluded area which houses the hot tub surrounded by pretty shrubs and looking out at the surrounding countryside. The bbq is in this area too which guests are welcome to use. There are fun and games for the children too with a lovely wooden climbing frame and slide set and a Wendy house and of course the lovely garden to run around in.

    This really is the house with everything for guests to enjoy a lovely family get together.

A great large family property but in need of some TLC in areas.

The White House suited our needs for the weekend whilst attending a local wedding. The location was great and the setting really relaxing. We were a family of 6 adults and a baby so having the 5 bedrooms worked well. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the evening. However, points for consideration for future guest visits:- We only had tepid water in the ensuite and house bathroom so not ideal We did get a call saying the garden was overdue a lawn cut but it would have been nice to see this done prior to our arrival The recycling bins were absolutely full of bottles prior to our arrival There was no 'welcome pack' as we were told there would be It would be nice to have better quality bedding

Lovely country house

This is a beautiful property in an idyllic location with plenty of comfortable space for our family of 8. The garden couldn't have been more scenic, with a footpath which lead to a sheep paddock where the keeper was an absolute delight to converse with on several occasions. *Bottom line, we would all love to stay here again!* As travelers from across the Atlantic, there are a few little things which would've gone a long way toward making our stay even easier. The first of these is the electronic keypad lock on the front door. The screen is blank, no numbers visible at first, and we didn't find "waking it up" with the required 4-finger vertical press intuitive (you're welcome, future guest reading this), and it caused us a little bit of a panic when first trying to check in, as well as a minute of delay each time we came back to the house because it required a 9-digit code (4 digits is plenty, and can be more easily memorized by the weary traveler)! A simpler device or more explicit check-instructions could solve this issue. Next, we did need to do some housework to eliminate ants in the kitchen. After we did, they stayed away. Thirdly, topping up basic hygenic supplies like bathroom hand soap, tissues, extra loo roll, and batteries in clocks & safety alarms would've been kind. Lastly, I sent emails and voicemail to the point person which went unanswered. Everything worked out in the end and all were happy, but small things would take it from 4 to 5 stars easily.
