"Was in the area on business. Nice, clean, decent sized room and en-suite shower room. Friendly welcoming staff. Only had breakfast in the restaurant so can’t comment on evening food but my full English breakfast was lovely. Only very minor downside is the lack of on site customer parking but I used a local car park across the road which was free overnight and reasonable rates at other times. Would come back again"

"We have been staying at The Feathers fairly frequently over the past 5 years, as it is very close to where our family live. The hotel accommodation is very basic, but adequate for our needs. On this last visit we were appalled that when returning to our room after a day out, it had not been made up or cleaned. This is not the first time this has happened. "The staff were amazing, and the room was okay in terms of size and cleanliness. The only downside is how noisy some of the guests can be, but there's not much the staff can do about that. "

"The staff are lovely and helpful. I did not think the room we had could be classed as superior because the bed has an old fashioned type of mattress which is not comfortable. For a superior room I was expecting a bigger more comfortable bed. We could not open the window at night because it is very low down and wild life could easily get through at night. "I’m afraid they can’t do hot food, I had a side for dinner in the evening and it was cold. The hot breakfast menu in the morning was also cold. Downside is that the nearest car park is very expensive, overnight from mid afternoon was over £40."
