"The hotel itself was nice, comfortable, and well-kept; however they were understaffed or maybe that just their usual. Towels and bedding (eg..blanket for the sofa I had to sleep on because I received a room with only a sofa, not a sleeper). After finally getting a blanket the second day, I slept comfortable on it. Our only window faced the inside of the hotel. While the shutters provided good blockage of the light I would have preferred drapes. "It is probably time for a remodel. The hotel was old, dark, and musty smelling. It is a nice hotel, but it is definitely time to be updated. I do really like to stay at Drury Inns. The location on the River Walk was excellent and the staff was very friendly. It is one of the few hotels on the River Walk that you do not have to valet your car."

"I am drawn to the Alamo so I loved this hotel which has an entrance to the Alamo courtyard. I loved the historic furnishings in my room and Kcup coffee maker and bottled water and the mini fridge. Then there was a heavy dps presence which made me feel safe. Wifi worked well."
