SOUNDSIDE Avon – Kinnakeet Shores – Located in the desired Kinnakeet Shores community, SECRET SPOT is sure to become your new lakefront spot on Hatteras Island. With views of the island and lake from wrap around decking, and screened porch, you’re sure to find hidden parts of island life. The great room of the home is cast in all natural light from the large sliding glass doors to the outside deck. Relax in the comfortable seating, stream your favorite show, and enjoy being in beautiful Hatteras Island. Ample seating can be found on the top level of the home, from the six-person dining table to the three-person breakfast bar. Gather everyone together for a meal made in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. A half bath is located on this floor for your convenience. When the day turns to night, catch the sunset from the screen porch with lighting and seating for six or relax in the bubbly hot tub. Then pull out a board game from the pantry and play the night away together.

On the bottom level, choose between three bedrooms for your perfect night’s sleep. One master bedroom with a king size bed and attached private bath, the last two bedrooms share a hall bath, one queen bedroom and the last with a twin-over-twin bunk bed and a single bed. You’re sure to find the perfect island spots at SECRET SPOT. Book today before your week is gone.

worst vacation in 40 years going to outer banks nc. we drove 8 hrs to get there to only enjoy the house for one till they made us evacuate the island monday morning the 18th and we had to drive another 8 hours home..we have stayed there through many hurricanes and was never forced to leave and threatened by the realtor that the sheriff would be by is we didnt leave.. no one is reponding on geting my refund for not getting what I paid for..will be the last time I ever go to nc for vacation

Nice Location

Nice neighborhood. House was ok. Dishwasher door needs to be better mounted. Master bath shower is extremely small. You bump your elbows while washing. Windows smeared from cleaning. I would stay in another house on next trip. The fact that checkin isn’t until until 6:00 is huge

This house needs a lot of work

This house is getting ran down. Definitely needs updating. The floor in the kitchen is soft from the refrigerator leaking. The refrigerator does not make ice which really stinks when you’re at the beach. Sliding glass door did not lock. Cover over filter had been taped up with paint tape and hung down from ceiling. Bathroom’s definitely need up grading as well as queen bed if felt like you were falling out of the bed. It was hot on the floor where the bedrooms were and we could not adjust it, because it had a lock code on it. The screen door outside would not stay secure so the went slammed it all night. Two chairs outside on the deck we’re so worn out from the weather, but if you sat in on the straps, would go all the way to the floor. I did talk to the rental company the first day and told them about some of the concerns about the heat in the bedrooms, the door, not locking upstairs in the vent hanging down in the kitchen. They were supposed to send someone out but no one ever showed up needless to say we were very disappointed. Probably will never use this realty company again.

Comfortable, great location

This rental was very comfortable, especially liked the great room, sectional was very comfortable. TV DISH, streaming all excellent. Kitchen stocked with most needed items except a cutting board or surface - only option is the counter which is not good for it or knives. Kitchen floor had some very noticeable lumps in the bench side and in front of the refrigerator - not sure if there have been water leaks that impacted what was supposed to be new vinyl flooring (the living area is not vinyl flooring - it is older carpet). Some areas of the house are notable worn. Washer and dryer are definitely aged but they both worked well. Master bed was very comfortable, we prefer a firm mattress and this was surprisingly firm. Cleanliness was overall good, the ceiling fans and return vents definitely need to be cleaned. Welcome bag from Surf and Sound was unexpected and very helpful - paper towels, bathroom tissue and trash can liners, dish soap to get started with. I find it a little disappointing that the rental management company had no one available, office closed on Saturday evening when check-in is not available until 6 pm. Should there have been a non-emergent need, there was no one available until Monday. I do think this is something that the company should look into so that a best level of service can be provided to customers

Overall great home

When we first checked in we noticed that the upstairs air conditioner had not been working it was frozen up so I had to call and get someone to come out and take a look at that and it was fix it then we noticed the dryer was not working we didn't call and have that fixed because we didn't feel like hanging around the house for another day cuz I just don't feel comfortable with someone in the home with my belongings there and I'm not there and then the upstairs sliding glass door did not lock so anybody could come in and go as they please and that was a little unnerving but other than that everything was great they fixed the air and we will definitely be using them again the realty company that is go home it was okay it could have been cleaner there was dust behind the bed a lot the baseboard around the edges of the carpet or still dirty the bathrooms were clean for the most part it was a whole lot better than who we used last year
