"The Patrician Hollywood exceeded our expectations. We chose it for a short stay to get to know downtown LA and Pasadena arts, culture and food. TJ is an engaging host, with a wealth of local knowledge and the sophistication of a world traveler. The house is a perfect example of 1920s LA style (it could be a movie set), decorated with an eye for the exotic and comfortable. The views of the LA basin from the garden are expansive. The local streets are quiet (and excellent for a morning run)."

"We stayed here because of its location being near the Pasadena convention center. We were so impressed by how welcoming the staff was. They presented us with water bottles at check in and let us know all about our amenities right away, including the complimentary breakfast. The onsite restaurant and close by restaurant made it easy to find a place to eat for lunch and dinner. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved that you needed a key to access the floors in the hotel...

"Hotel location is very good. Place is relatively clean. However, there are signs of poor management. 1. Check in staff was not friendly at all. No greetings. Nothing. 2. Housekeeping staff knocked early in the morning. Asked them to come back in an hour but they never did. No room cleaning, no change of towels. 3. I reserved 2 rooms since I was traveling with family. Check in 4pm and couldn’t even get the 2 rooms on the same floor. 4. I had late check out and when I returned after lunch at 1pm,...

"I personally like no service during my stay. I didn't have to put don't bother sign up, just asked and they complied. Staff is super nice and great area. I stayed in the same room I did last year. It's clean and has a TV with cable. Rather large dresser....with wide / low top...great for travelers. It might be a "dated" paint/ decor...but it's nice. No breakfast, staff is always available. "

The room was once again dirty all over the place, the floors weren't covered in things this time, but every surface was still dirty and turned all our disinfection wipes brown. "Nice room, especially at the price point. Very clean, comfy bed, great pillows, roomy bathroom. The only factor that is somewhat of a negative is the cramped parking lot. I would definitely stay here again."

"Large room, near shops and restaurants, parking. Two things of note. An intermittent high pitched noise came from somewhere in the motel. It didn’t stop me sleeping or anything but I wondered why staff didn’t do anything about it. Two, I stayed in a dozen hotels on this trip, this was the only one not to have a peephole in the door, or any form of secondary door lock, you know a flip out metal stop, a ball and cradle, a chain. Not having either of these dosent exactly make the place feel safer."
