"The resort was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. Location was great. Food was delicious. Pools with swim-up bars were the best. We saw monkeys in the trees and iguanas swimming in the pool. We were there in April so no crowding. The balcony overlooking the pool was great. At check-in the desk clerk was very short and impolite. "The property, which is in a natural preserve, needs better upkeep. The rooms are dated and our bathroom had lots of mold, which is totally unacceptable. Also, the rooms are spread all around the property through trails and you go up and down the mountain to reach them. This, in the suffocating heat and humidity, is exhausting. There is no A/C anywhere in the property except the bedrooms. The restaurant is ok, but again: no A/C, limited options. The one shining pearl in all this was the SPA. I...

They work very long shifts - you might see the breakfast server as the bartender in the evening. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
