"The toilet seat had urine stains when we first checked in and only God knows how long its been there. The kitchen lacked clean surfaces as did the floor of the entire room when we first got there. Housekeeping was done only on the third day (which we were told was apparently the norm) and greasiness of the floor did improve after the cleaning. Makes me wonder when was the last time the room was cleaned before we entered. Great location during the non-touristy season when much of the island is...

"We had a lovely stay for the 4 days, just me and my teenage son. The location was perfect, very near to all shops and restaurants and close to the main strip of Laganas, as well as the beach within walking distance. The room we stayed in was on level 0, it was clean and had all we needed for our stay, it was a little damp, not noticeably but our clothes felt damp when kept in the room. "Location of this property can not be faulted. Beautiful ocean views close to Agassi but far enough away to be quiet. Owners were amazing and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. Although dated my room was really clean (no dirty feet walking bare foot which tends to be my biggest gripe in hotel rooms) bed was super comfy and had really good nights sleep. "Alamis apartments are a true gem in Zakynthos and we would return in a heartbeat to stay here again. George and his team are outstanding. George is so helpful and knowledgeable - he can assist with any local booking information and organise transfers/taxis/car hire. He is very professional, warm, genuine and very present for his guests and takes a real interest in their stay. Sue was a very friendly face at reception. She is very bubbly and welcoming of guests - and will help with any requests....

"Our second time staying at St. John Villas, it is extremely restful & quiet, being on the hillside above Tsilivi itself. The trade-off for this is that there is a 10 minute walk down the hill to the town, which is pleasant enough - but not so pleasant making the return journey - the 8-10 euros for a taxi is a no-brainer! We had a couple of small issues with the villa which were dealt with immediately by the staff with no fuss. We will definitely stay here again."

"Karras Livin was perfect for what we needed. Room size was fine and location was great. Pool was occasionally a little dirty so we used the pool at the hotel sometimes. Staff friendly. Cleaner always came when we were sleeping so room was only cleaned once during two weeks. Would have liked some fresh towels/bin bags/toilet rolls left outside room as we had to fend for ourselves with these items Great stay overall and would return. "
