Alpenglow 1

This chalet accommodates 2-6 guests with a master suite with a king bed, a second bedroom with 2 queen beds, 2 full baths, a well-equipped kitchen, a generous dining room table, and an outdoor deck with a gas BBQ. Efficient heating and air conditioning, customizable for each room, cozy gas fireplace, spacious living room, and heated bathroom tile floors provide comfort in any season. Starlink Satellite, WIFI internet, and cable TV are available.


This chalet is one of three similar homes nestled on the mountainside overlooking the Merced River Canyon in Yosemite West. Each home provides secluded privacy, perfect for a family. Reserve all three for a larger reunion of friends and family. All Alpenglow Retreat Chalets book up quickly, and groups are encouraged to reserve well in advance. There are 2 parking spots for standard size vehicles.

An amazing home nestled in the mountains and forests of Yosemite. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and spotless. We could easily have stayed longer.

Modern, compact home in a perfect location for Yosemite Valley.

This house was perfectly located for Yosemite Valley as it is within the park which means you avoid the long queues into the park everyday. Otherwise, the house was modern, clean and smart, and had everything required for a family stay.

This home was perfect for our Yosemite adventure! We were close enough to explore all of Yosemite..we drove the Tioga Road, visited Yosemite Valley and walked with the Sequoias in Mariposa Grove. The house was clean and well stocked for all of our cooking needs. The beds were comfortable and the washer and dryer worked wonderfully. Perfect place to stay.

Great 2 night stay

Perfect - away from the bustle of Yosemite Village but still within the park. The house had everything we needed…check-in process was seamless and was everything we wanted and needed. Would recommend.

Yosemite in March

I thought I booked Yosemite East and was surprised to see the entrance to Yosemite West. It was my error, and we were pleased with the location. Very close to the valley floor and we loved the neighborhood. As a vacation home owner, I am very aware of how a home should be presented. The television did not work the entire time. During the day it did not matter. We called management and they came out and could not fix it. Offered complimentary DVDs for our stay. In the master bathroom, there was not anywhere to hang a wet towel. One hair dryer and it did not work. I am not sure if someone left it behind. 4 wine glasses for a home that accommodates 8 people. The house comfortably accommodates 6 people due to the living space. We'd stay again, but know what we need to pack.

Clean property in great location

My family and I loved staying at this property in Yosemite West which provides a great starting point for all of the park activities. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the unit and communication with the Property Manager was outstanding. The unit itself is in great condition with great amenities and big open windows to enjoy the setting. We highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Could not have asked for a better place to stay

This place was perfect for our weekend in Yosemite. It provided easy access to all the popular park locations and the cabin itself was nice and comfortable to spend our evenings in after our day hikes. Kitchen allowed us to cook our breakfasts and dinners easily and parking worked out great for us to come and go as we pleased. Will definitely be trying to stay here again next year when we go back for more hikes and climbing!

Lovely House with only a few minor issues

This house is very nice and super modern with a full kitchen, and everything you need is there. We also loved the bathroom tubs and furniture. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! A few minor issues: - One of the two big round ceiling light bulb in the dining room was burnt out and we couldn't find spare light bulbs in the house. - The floor could be cleaner. My white socks became black over the three days I stayed here.

beautiful home. could have been cleaner though..

The house had everything you need and more. The only thing was that the floor wasn't cleaned too well. We had to sweep the floor when we got there. No visible dirt but I felt the dirt as i walked around. Also, the shower curtain was moldy. But everything else was perfect. Great place and we would love to go back.

Fabulous property in a great location!
