The Space:

Roman Cottage sleeps up to 12 guests across three bedrooms.



On the first floor there is:



-1 family room containing one double bed and one single bed



Plus: Shower room containing shower cubicle and basin



On the ground floor there is:



-1 family room containing one double bed and one single bed



-1 family room containing one double bed and two single beds



Plus:



-2 single sofa beds located in the lounge



Also on the ground floor is a shower room containing a shower cubicle, W/C and basin as well as a separate W/C and basin. There is a large kitchen-dining area with rustic, fixed, bench seating.



Patio doors from the lounge lead to the vast shared lawn space and expansive shared patio where you will find a hot tub (max. 8 people) exclusively for the use of guests of Roman Cottage.



Pets are welcome at a charge of 30 GBP extra.

As a guest at Roman Cottage, you will have exclusive access to the entire holiday home, which includes a large kitchen and dining area and a comfortable lounge. Outside, you are invited to enjoy the vast shared garden and patio area. A highlight of your stay is the private hot tub, which is reserved exclusively for the use of Roman Cottage guests. You will also benefit from free parking on the premises, ensuring a convenient arrival and departure throughout your stay.

For your daily needs, local shops and friendly village pubs are within a 5 minute drive, offering a warm welcome and great food. Getting Around:

Getting to Roman Cottage is straightforward, and we recommend arriving by car to make the most of the surrounding North Yorkshire countryside. We provide free parking directly on the premises for your convenience. If you are traveling by train, York Railway Station is the nearest major hub and is approximately a 15 to 20 minute drive from the cottage. From the station, you can easily access local taxi services to reach Wigginton. While the village is peaceful and rural, the historic heart of York is just a short 15 minute drive away, making it easy to explore the city and return to your quiet retreat.



Other Things to Note:

To ensure your stay at Roman Cottage is as smooth as possible please note that check in begins at 1500 and we kindly ask that you check out by 1100 on your day of departure. We are delighted to welcome your furry friends to our property for an additional charge of 30 GBP per pet. Please note that smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottage. While the cottage is located in a peaceful area we ask that all guests remain respectful of the shared garden and patio spaces. Our private hot tub is exclusively for your use and can accommodate a maximum of 8 people at any one time. Complimentary parking is available directly on the premises for your convenience.
