Accommodation

Excellent stay, however a couple of observations. A broom or dustpan would have been useful to keep tidy. Missed having a table and chairs, obviously you have your reasons but a fold up could be a compromise

Lovely break at a lovely apartment

Had a lovely stay with Violet Homes in their Lion Suite. Everything was perfect for us. The apartment was like a home away from home, warm and cosy. Check in and out is super easy and the on site parking is an ideal touch. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to the main attractions but just enough out of the way that it is nice and quiet. Lovely view of the river from the room also! Thanks again Daisy!

Property is located in a great location with fast and easy access to York city centre. The flat had pretty much every thing you could need including ironing board and Iron, cooking facilities, comfortable bed, nice lounge area to relax in. TV in lounge and bedroom and decent broadband/wifi.

Recommend this apartment

We stayed in this apartment for two nights as part of a family trip to York. The apartment is very well situated and comes with car parking facilities, though do remember to unload the car first (there is a spot near the building entrance to park) before parking as the parking slot is on the top floor of the car park and it’s 4-5 levels up! We very much liked the style of the apartment and facilities were very good with Netflix on TV a bonus (esp as it rained all weekend during our stay) Communication also excellent prior to our arrival, important during these Covid times. And we liked there was also info sheets in the apartment. Other apartments we have stayed in have removed these sheets and all it takes is to put it in a Perspex sheet so it can cleaned! A few minor issues. The kettle had bad scale issues and needs to be replaced. The shower knob was faulty and difficult to control the temp and with an adventurous daughter of 2 years old it would have been good to have secure latches in the windows so we could keep open. The windows can be opened all the way leading to a balcony over looking the canals so a bit of a safety issue for little ones. We will stay here again.

Superb, well located apartment

Excellent info/instructions; easy and secure parking; very clean and comfortable and in a superb position for all sights. It was the extra touches that made it a lovely stay - the xmas tree and decorations that greeted us as well as the bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge.

The suite itself is beautiful as well as clean and is in an ideal location for walking into town. Communication was 10/10. I can’t fault anything at all, very glad we chose the Lion Suite for our first trip to York.

Family trip to York

Excellent location in York and a short walk to all the major attractions. Apartment was beautifully presented and clean, with the instructions on how to gain entry and park vehicles very easy to follow. The apartment was located in a building which was extremely secure, so my family and I felt very safe. I will definitely be staying at this apartment again on my next trip to York

Wonderful luxury apartment. All communication was fantastic regarding arrival and and very attentive. Lovely personal touches within the apartment, clean, comfortable and excellent location for the city centre. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely choose this again over a hotel room.
