Creadas a partir de antiguos edificios agrícolas y conservando las características originales, como ladrillos y vigas a la vista, estas casas de vacaciones de una sola planta (ref. 26225 y 29452) disfrutan de vistas al campo abierto. Cada uno de ellos tiene un patio privado con orientación sur donde los visitantes pueden relajarse y observar las ovejas, las gallinas y los ponis de Shetland mientras pastan en el prado contiguo en este tranquilo pueblo cerca del río Derwent. La histórica ciudad de York, famosa por sus calles empedradas, magníficas minster, museos, restaurantes y posadas tradicionales, es fácilmente accesible con el parque Grimston y se encuentra a solo 10 minutos en coche. Muy cerca se encuentran los Yorkshire Wolds, que inspiraron las famosas pinturas de David Hockney y Howardian Hills, excelentes para caminar y andar en bicicleta. Los centros turísticos costeros de Bridlington, Scarborough y Whitby y North York Moors están a una hora en coche. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, Sally the host was so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. Our little boy loved waking every morning to say good morning the sheep chicken and ponies, he thought we was on ‘old McDonald’s farm’. Would definitely recommend Rustys cottage to anyone! Thank you for a lovely stay

Stayed in rusty’s cottage just before christmas with my wife and a 2 month old baby, a sturdy crib had been set up for us and the place was decorated for the season.Probably one of the best equipped cottages i’ve stayed in, the kitchen had everything you needed to self cater easily.The pictures also don’t fully do this place justice, it really is beautiful.Fantastic place to stay, we hope to return in the future.

A great place for enjoying North Yorkshire.

A great place for enjoying North Yorkshire. A very obliging and friendly host. Very well equipped. After very wet periods the countryside was very dank and muddy but am sure in summer it is more attractive. Slight negative : the mattress is in need of replacement and customers should be aware it is only a standard double. Would recommend.

Rusty's Cottage is lovely.

Rusty's Cottage is lovely. It is clean, well equipped, comfortable and in a peaceful rural location but close to York, the coast and some lovely villages. We were greeted each morning by the sight of the beautiful sunrise from the lounge and a daily welcome from the ponies and ram! We had a really lovely break here and would definitely return.

This was our second visit to "Rusty's Cottage".

This was our second visit to "Rusty's Cottage". We stayed there a few years ago and it is still the lovely cottage we remembered. Sally and Tim were very welcoming and supplied a few extras such as milk, sugar etc. there is only one sheep now compared to three at our first visit. The outlook from the lounge window was as lovely as ever. We took our Lhasa Apso " Buddy" with us and he loved it. It is so conveniently placed for visits to other places of interest such as Scarborough, Whitby, Helmsley, Pickering and of course York. I would suggest using "Park & Ride" to York , Whitby and Scarborough it is so convenient. Whilst there it was my wife's birthday and we went to the "Three Cups" in Stamford Bridge ( 10 minute drive away ) for a meal , it is well worth a visit. I recommend a holiday in this lovely cottage for anyone.

Lovely cottage perfect location for visiting York and North Yorkshire moors. We found bathroom very dark . Everything else was perfect lovely and clean and the owners were very helpful.
