My listing is located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of my three story home. There are 2 sets of stairs about 12 steps with stairslift in case you can't easily climb them. The 1st stairs lead to the dining area, the kitchen, living room, and a door leading to the balcony. The 2nd stairs lead to the 3 bedrooms, the full bathroom, and a double mirrored closet. There is 1 parking space on the premises and a few street parking spaces a few walks away from the house a great benefit.
Inside the house you’ll find all the necessary items for a nice and comfortable stay.
In the kitchen, there is a microwave, coffee machine, toaster, air fryer, blender, rice cooker, stove, pots, crockpot, and baking pans.
Our living room has a 65" TV with Netflix & Amazon Prime Video, a dedicated space for work with free wifi during your stay.
In the double mirrored closet, we have a hair dryer, an iron & iron board, towels, shampoos, conditioner, body wash, first aid kit, and toiletries

This is a 3 bedrooms unit. The master bedroom has a king bed and a queen ottoman. The other two rooms have queen size beds. The living room has a queen-size sofa bed. The unit is suitable for a family or a group of 6 people. It's a perfect place to stay, where you can enjoy NYC, and return to a nice and quiet house to rest and reset for your trip and activities.

To have access to the beautiful spaces in the house you’ll be climbing stairs, but we have stairs lift available in case you can't climb.

The heating unit stopped working on the second night, which was very cold. The host knew that the system was faulty and had space heaters as a backup, but did not inform us until afterwords.The hardwood floor was not properly sanded and polyurethane. It looks like the owners were doing the work themselves, because it was too much for them, they leave it unfinished and did not hire a professional to do it.The master bedroom has a big old coach which look like a sick old person was sleeping in it. It looks like a lot of dead skin was in it. The closet door had a curtain with a big hoist to lift sick people.The two sets of stairs going to the second floor, and the third floor were narrow because there is an electric chair lift on each stairs.The blinds in the kitchen were dirty.Loose door knobs and the bedroom curtain falling down.Microwave oven needs replacement.The place could’ve been easily much better if the host would spend a little more money on the place.The photos online look better than the actual place.

Pros: good location, spacious, has things you need like toddler potty, toddler dishes, responsive host when issues arised, kid and handicap friendly with a chair lift but the broken banisters negate that someCons: no blankets, not enough linens none for the pull out couch, heat did not work and was freezing but host came out and tried to fix it and then bought space heaters, banisters are broken

The location of the home is very close to many areas. We were in town to explore more of Tarrytown (second trip) and it was only a 20 minute drive away. There were many restaurants and shopping options nearby the home and traffic was not overwhelming. The home is very quiet.

If you are looking for an AFFORDABLE, clean place to stay with friends or family and close to NYC this is the place. The bathrooms have been remodeled and the upstairs shower is great! The remainder of the house needs a great deal of updating, remodeling and could use some decorating advice. However, if this was done, they could ask for A LOT more. So, it depends on what matters most to you. It certainly served our purpose.

This was an unexpected trip due to a death in the family. Considering we didn't plan to travel to NYC, we were happily surprised this house was equipped with everything we needed, from new kitchen appliances like air fryer, rice cooker, and crockpot to hair dryer, garment steamer, plenty of towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc. The beds, sheets and pillows were hotel quality. The house was comfortable and homey. Plus it had parking! It's located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. It's a five to ten minute drive from supermarkets and major retail stores. The host was quick to respond to any and all inquiries. Did I mention the house was very, very clean? We are extremely grateful to have found this place.

Place smelled terrible and had wires hanging out all over the place. It was dingy and extremely outdated. There was not enough towels or wash cloths for everyone in our party when they knew exactly how many people we had and were told that we should have said everyone was an adult. I guess teenagers don’t get towels?? All the beds are made but had no fitted sheets on and were expected to sleep on the old dingy mattress covers. Had to wait until next morning for this to be rectified. Also the microwave was messed up and would turn itself on when you OPENED the door. Not safe. Was told that all of his microwaves do that which is completely not the case and dangerous. Also started out by not being able to get in as they messed up the code that was supposed to be assigned to us. I did take photos but won’t post them as it’s not my style. VRBO should check this place out. I’m not sure they’d approve. Definitely don’t recommend to anyone. Only decent thing about it as the location.

Very clean, comfortable, and quiet property. Although advertised one car parking, actually can park 2, which is good since limited street parking in a crowded neighborhood. Highly recommended if you're staying in the NYC area.

Not totally as advertised..

Not aware that it was a 3 story building with our place on the second and 3rd floors.I had to make several calls to get info on how to unlock and relock the front door. This should have been in writing BEFORE we arrived at the unit.NO heat the entire visit. No instructions on how to turn furnace on.TV control was not working. - no batteries in tremors control.No mention of house rules. We didn't see them until checking out, and I had to call to find out check out time. No info on where to put linens. we had to use more towels on Beds at night to get warm.

Friends reunion

Stayed for three nights. The communication from the host was excellent. There were some minor issues to get clarity on and the host even called to resolve quickly . Check in and out went smoothly. The house was very clean. Spacious three bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had all the appliances and cooking/eating utensils to work with. The bathrooms were beautifully updated.The neighborhood was very nice.Need attention: In the kitchen there were no pot or dish soap, nor were there sponges or dish towels. These are essentials to have in an airbnb.In regards to the bathrooms, there were no extra toilet paper on hand. This is essential in an airbnb.Part of the railing of the steps to the bedrooms were weak.In conclusion the stay was comfortable. Would recommend.

Excellent host, lovely accommodations

Akuvi is an outstanding host. Prior to and during our stay he was immediately responsive to all of the messages/requests I sent him. The listing on VRBO is accurate and if you look at the description and pictures you'll get exactly what you're looking at

Not great!

We visited NY over the holiday break with our 4 kids. While the home had plenty of sleeping room, the pictures of the home are not accurate. When you walk into the home the first thing you notice is the stair lift for people in a wheelchair. This is great if the home was advertised as being accessible but it’s not. The lift takes up a large portion of the steep stairs making it nearly impossible to get up with luggage; the banister is also loose. Upon walking in, the home smelled old and not clean. Once you are on the main floor you will find the kitchen which was OK. It was not stocked the way it should be with cleaning supplies, kitchen rags etc.or drying rack or dishwasher soap except an old Cascade bottle with a drop of soap that was so old it came out brown. I also found a used magic eraser and carpet cleaner and oven cleaner and windex. In one cupboard was some trash bags but that was it for supplies. One thing I noticed right away was no exhaust fan above the stove, instead of an actual exhaust fan there was an empty water bottle filling the hole. The outlet to the right of the sink smoked and caused the lights to flicker with each use, the outlet covers and switches were dirty. The blinds in the kitchen are filthy and sticky, most likely from cooking. The home has no decor on any kind on the walls aside from a clock and a calendar from 2017 and very old curtains covering the windows in the living room . The dining room table was ok but the chairs are old and damaged
