"I usually don’t write hotel reviews unless a place is either so bad it deserves a documentary… or so good it makes me question my actual home. 😂 This time around, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville Blount Island absolutely delivered. From the second I walked in, the presentation and customer service were flawless. The lobby was clean, the staff was friendly, and nobody looked at me like I was inconveniencing them by existing. "This was our first time here, location is very conveniently close to shopping, restaurants and even the carnival port for cruisers. We stayed the night before our cruise for May16. Check in/out was east ave quick. I don’t remember the guys name who checked us in but he has great customer service. "Overall, the property was pretty nice. Breakfast was good, much as you would expect at any Hampton Inn. Most of the staff were very kind, courteous, and helpful. One was a bit aloof. My biggest disappointment was that the pool was broken, so I didn't get to use it for my entire trip. They claimed it had just broken recently, but the pool was quite green and looked like it had been down for weeks."

"I made a mistake choosing the wrong month while booking. The mistake is on me, but I immediately called after hitting ‘submit’ on the payment. I gave a 1-star based on the fact the hotel would not cancel and rebook my request for the next month without paying the whole stay twice. I had even added cancellation protection for a the unplanned cancellation, but the original date was too close. I ended up booking the next month’s stay at another hotel. *This review only speaks to the no leniency...

"Everything was great. Clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. Only thing was the breakfast. Ugh.. waffle makers couldn’t use as there was burnt waffle stuck in it… eggs and sausage were cold.. not kept warm very well. Otherwise great stay."

"The only problem was there was no driver for the morning shuttle. I will say the lady at the front desk immediately called for an uber. She saved the day!"

"The room rented was a 3 bed suite. Iwas cool and had plenty of room. 2 bathrooms and two large flat screen tv's. The property looks a bit older from the outside but has been updated inside The price was good and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast included was pretty decent as well and had plenty of food. This hotel is also really close to the Ports which is very convenient."

"I rarely give 5 star reviews but this place definitely deserves it! Very clean and well stocked rooms that includes a kitchen with the basic kitchen necessities. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was well stocked. There is a really good restaurant right across the street and Walmart is 5 minutes down the road. The hotel also offers grocery delivery to stock the kitchen for longer stays although I don't know if there is a fee for this as I didn't use it. I will definitely be staying...

"Staff was extremely helpful. But drainage in bath tub was terrible. I had to get lots of heirs out before I even take bath. Water was not draining at all."
