"Very romantic place to stay. Charming rooms, classic, but not tacky. Modern technology used for ac/heating and background music. Spotless. Staff is attentive and polite, even when it gets busy. Free espresso and coffee station set up outside to be used anytime. À la carte breakfast was beautifully served and tasted just as it looked. We ordered from the menu every morning, never got bored. Would love to return. "

"I wish I had known that our room was on the 5th floor, attic apartment with a sloped roof. I'm tall and could only stand upright in the center of the room. I also wish I had paid attention that there was no elevator. The whole building has been beautifully renovated, but the apartment on the top floor does not look like the photos, because of the sloped roof. I appreciated the washer and dryer though. And the location near the ferry and the historic part of town was convenient. "

"Beautiful hotel in the heart of city center. If you’ve packed heavy (our trip was 30 days and included a stay in the artic so we had several large, heavy bags) beware there are steps going in. One suite option (the best one), required additional steps as well, so we settled on the remaining Jr Suite. Very, very dark (windows only halfway up) and lighting is so very poor. "Be aware. If you arrive on a Monday and it’s after 12pm, (which is likely as checkin is approx 3pm) and you have an early flight the next day, then somehow you are suppose to know to prebook a takeaway breakfast, as kitchen is closed!! Would not refund our breakfast and once I went to manager they agreed to pack some food. It was not fresh or appealing. Old apples, out of date muesli bars and drinks we couldn’t take through airport security. Disappointing. "

"Room was small to get around in, and looked bigger in the pictures; it was a little awkward but was comfortable enough. Tub also had a very high lip to get into, but worked fine. Close to attractions and in a nice location overall. "
