"Clean room, very spacious "

"Room was beautiful ,spotless and well equipped. Very big comfortable bed . Excellent location.Easy safe parking. Fuss free check in and check out . Delicious breakfast , all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Lively comfortable bar area . Can’t fault it at all we have already rebooked for May and can’t wait to return to lovely Holmfirth and the wonderful Elephant & Castle . "

"I love this little gem of a pub and have been staying here for at least the past 15 years whenever I am in the area for regular work. Andy and Adele make a great team with delicious food, a good variety of beers, wines, cocktails etc and a lovely fire to keep us all cosy and warm, oh and the fish pie was really delicious! 😋"

"Parking was a nightmare but soon sorted out. Service was above and beyond, owner driving around until he found a fish and chip shop open and bringing us back a lovely meal. Super breakfast with lots of choice."

The gentleman who changed are room was very helpful as we requested to move to the other side of the hotel, away from the road (light sleepers) and they were happy to help. Would recommend to anyone, great place to stay and fantastic location for walking, cycling etc"
