  • Idílicamente situado a solo 8 km del centro de Oxford, a 5 km de Summertown, a 8 km de Woodstock y del palacio de Blenheim y a 20 km de Burford (puerta de entrada a The Cotswolds) y con vistas al histórico St. Peter's Church, las cabañas han sido lujosamente decoradas al más alto estándar contemporáneo. Construido de piedra de Cotswold con calefacción central y por suelo radiante. El diseño de estilo estudio ofrece un dormitorio doble y baño en-suite. En la planta baja hay una cocina equipada, una sala de estar de planta abierta y una barra para el desayuno.

Lovely little cottage, perfect for a short stay (wish we had longer!) local to Oxford, Cotswolds & as a stopover from north to south as just off M40/A34. Managed Ok even in hot weather as a fan provided & bathroom was fab. Would have been nice to be able to open up the rear door for patio breakfast rather than walk around the side but not there long enough to be an issue. Opposite the church so had a musical alarm call from the bells on a Sunday norning which was novel & as expected for village life. Nice pub in walking distance. Thanks for a great stay, definitely come back when next in the area.

Parking was easy and the place was remarkably clean! I’d advise bringing extra laundry detergent and such just in case as we couldn’t use the washer. Everything else was amazing - highly recommend!

Beautiful cottage

A beautiful cottage in an equally beautiful location. The area is stunning and we could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. We had a lovely dinner at the local Chequers Inn. We will be back! Thank you.

Beautiful location, nicely maintained building and grounds. Works for 2 adults and one child, would not recommend for 3 adults.

Amazing cottage

Perfect central location close to surrounding villages. Lovely cottage with all the amenities you will need. A nice and quiet place with little noise from the roads. Very chilled and relax, couldn't ask for more. I would stay here again if I am in the area again. Ideal for Blenheim Palace Christmas fayre and lights. Would recommend.

Great location, needs updates

The location and cleanliness of the property were outstanding. Both beds (upstairs and futon downstairs) are badly in need of replacement, and the TV is so old that it has a constant blue tint. The place would receive a 5 star if there were better mattresses, new TV, and a small table and chairs were added near the front window.

Adorable little cottage

The only negative thing I have to say is the bed was not terribly comfortable. Too hard. But maybe some people like that. Otherwise, this place was wonderful. Very clean and so quaint English countryside. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, this would be ideal.

Bizzarre and enigmatic

This place is an enigma. The owners have built two very nice cottages , as a duplex, side by side and they are very tastefully done and well appointed ; and an effort has been made to make their external lines totally compatible with the nearby Dove House. Very well done . Communication from the owner was poor. But the absolute strangest thing is that there is a HUGE PILE ( about 25 to 30 cubic meters) of firewood just one meter form the back door which is also DANGEROUSLY locked. No access or egress from there. No view except of firewood but from the upstairs it is very nice . What a waste of what could be a lovely outdoor sitting area and pleasant aspect Such a pile of flammable material just a metre from public accommodation is possibly illegal. Quite bizarre Numerous guests have commented on this We urge the owners to either explain it or move it. AND to provide a key to the back door

Double booked!!! No place to stay

We arrived in Cassington and had trouble locating the address. We called the owner who referred us to her property manager who told us he could not see where we rented the place. I provided proof and then he indicted that VRBO must have a glitche in their system , sorry….the cottage is already rented for the weekend. I had to find another place an hour away !!!! Never had this experience before with VRBO… not happy about it….

Lovely cottage apart from sitting room view .

Pros- setting, presentation of cottage, location, comfort. Cons -Main room has a large picture window which is blocked off with nettles and stored firewood. This is weird to look out on and means the downstairs is very dark.

Fantastic!

We had a lovely relaxing weekend here, cottage had everything we needed, location is beautiful and handy for visiting Oxford and Blenheim Palace. We’ll be back!

4 day visit to Oxford area.

The property was well placed to visit Oxford City and surrounding areas from a typical small and quiet village.We used car (park and ride) and cycled into town(half hour) along cycle paths. The property had superb views at the front of village church and garden,but rear view through French windows was totally obscured by a wood store

The perfect place to take your mind off all things coronavirus!

Beautiful maisonette barn, with lovely surroundings. Links into town are easy and cabs are very friendly. The barn itself was cute and clean, just the ideal place for a couple to unwind and relax.

Beautiful setting

Lovely cottage and just a 10 minute walk from the bus stop where there are buses to Oxford and Witney. Blenheim Palace close by too. Cottage has all you need too would stay again

Superb three night break near Oxford.

Spotlessly clean and very well appointed cottage, warm and cosy in a village setting yet with easy access to Oxford. A very enjoyable stay in lovely surroundings. We would recommend this cottage as an excellent base from which to explore Oxford, Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds.
