"This place was perfect for our family group of 7 adults and 3 children.Plenty of room to spread out. We could be upstairs and cook, eat and hang out or be chilling in the basement playing pool or watching a movie.Home and kitchen was well stocked and even included complimentary coffee! The two sets of washers and dryers for laundry in the basement is a great idea for larger groups!The owner was easy to contact and was very helpful. Apparently the previous guest may have lost or misplaced the key...

"This house and the host were fabulous! Great location and great decor."

"Easy to get to and from where we needed to be. Small but clean and met all the needs for sleeping except one part-basement included sleeping option for the couch but doesn’t work if you’re over 6 feet tall. We managed with that since it was a teenager. :) Overall we’re planning to stay again!"

"We had a fun time staying at this house. We visited downtown Des Moines and had a great time at Adventureland. The only suggestion would be to have some dish towels in the kitchen. The arcade games, ping pong table and skee-ball were popular with the kids. "

"The Babes loved EVERYTHING about the Love Shack. Tiffany is an amazing host and very easy to communicate with - so responsive to requests and questions! I think she is quite possibly the best VRBO host I’ve worked with. The property is inviting and just joyful. The neighborhood is lovely and safe! Next door neighbors even offered us candy and goodies! How fun is that?! Close to everything we wanted to see! Definitely would recommend. And Des Moines is a fantastic city!"

"Easy to locate, nice neighborhood. Perfect for an evening walk!Lovely spaces with natural light. Comfortable beds. The kitchen is well-supplied. We appreciated the generous shower supplies.We’d stay here again in Des Moines/Altoona area."

"Hi there! I had a wonderful time in the room and got the much-needed rest I was looking for. The space was clean and minimalist(good thing). I do have a couple of suggestions: a coffee table would be a useful addition along with a wall clock, and it would be great if the rear entrance from the parking garage were more accessible. Also, I found navigating from the Star Trek spaceship walkways to the building a bit tricky. All in all, I'd definitely stay here again!"

"We came to Des Moines for the wrestling state tournament. We were just a block and a half away from the skywalk to hop on and stay indoors the whole way to Wells Fargo Arena.This home was clean, easily accessed, and just what we needed for a short stay! Great communication with the owners :)"

"Comfortable, clean, and lovely apartment. It was perfect for our stay in Des Moines during a conference. We loved the history of the building and the updated amenities of the apartment. The owner was very attentive and responsive. "

"We wanted a quick getaway to see a show at Hoyt Sherman and visit our favorite brewery, Lua for dinner and drinks and this couldn’t have been a more perfect location at an affordable rate! So many great places nearby and nice to be able to walk and not worry about parking for the show. Highly recommend for a small group wanting to take in Sherman Hill area."

"Well appointed & maintained, clean, functional. Perfect for visitors that need a place close to downtown. All the necessary appliances were in perfect condition. Host provided a great book outlining rules, local attractions, restaurants, stores, etc. And most importantly the Host was responsive to all questions prior to arrival and any requests when we were there. Unit: 5 StarsHost: 5 Stars"

"Check in process was easy. Communication was really good. Better than most as he usually responded right away. Pool is clean and beautiful. Kitchen utensils were adequate. Surroundings give a pleasant summer camp feel. Lots to explore outside. Our grandaughters who are nine and five loved the trampoline, toy room and pool. We would go back again! "
