"Excellent location, parking can be extended beyond stay, water and tea coffee in room. Self help water dispensers would be useful."

"I really like this place. THe only negative was that there is no USB port in the room, or anywhere in the carpark to charge an electric vehicle. Parking is easy and plentiful. Breakfast is great. Din't actually meet a single member of staff except in the pub (where they were very pleasant) - so i cannot really comment on the staff. It would be ice to actually see someone or have the facility to ask a question etc"

"Perfect location! Quaint spot just outside of the city centre close to UoB. Sam and reception staff incredibly friendly. We could have chatted for hours if we didn't have an itinerary of things we needed to complete before the end of the day! Would definitely recommend a stay here."

"The air con had broken in the hotel during the June 2026 heatwave. We were lied to, told we could move rooms to a working one and weren’t told it had broken everywhere until 11.30pm when returning from a concert. We asked if we could get a refund and were told we could, so at midnight we left and went to find somewhere else. 2 weeks on and I have had no apology, no refund and no acknowledgement of this being dealt with. I’m £244 out of pocket as I had to pay for another hotel. Avoid."

"Treated myself to a night here and given the price point expected a lot and was sadly disappointed. Upon reaching reception I found a queue to check in. There were three staff members behind reception but only one was dealing with guests. This was frustrating. Finally checked in, room was a nice size, the air conditioning was a god send in the heat and the bed and bedding was very comfy. The bathroom was large and pleasant, but showing its age. "We chose it b/c it was right across the street from Birmingham New Street train station - and have no regrets, since it was close to everything else. Had also dinner there, the food was good. The bedroom was comfortable and the staff was helpful. Nice experience overall."
