"Stayed in 1 bed Masham Lodge for a last minute short weekend break. We have stayed here before but in a bigger lodge for 4 people. The site is very nice and peaceful yet on the doorstep for great walks and places to see. Reception staff (Danielle) extremely helpful, pleasant and very knowledgeable of the area offering recommendations on good places to eat. Check out the Freemasons Arms in Nosterfield and Staveley Arms in Staveley, both very close by to the lodge. Food amazing! Head to Ripon...

"It was a cute little bolt hole. We are however tall & it’s very low ceilings and doors so had to duck everywhere. Reasonably well equipped. Very comfortable bed. Some cobwebs between beams & in windows which we used a duster to move those above the bed. The bushes by the main entrance could also do with a trim as encroach on the door way when passing through.Some teas, coffees, biscuits and fresh milk was a nice touch as well as the a little freezer with the fridge. Easy to park in little car...

"The cottage was amazing. Everything we needed for our stay. It was clean, comfortable. It was a great location for visiting the local sights. The host was fantastic. They provided a detailed guest pack, which was emailed (and texted) to us a couple of days before our visit. They even emailed to check that we’d settled in okay and to see if we needed anything. The welcome tray of goodies was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend the cottage to anyone wishing to stay in the area."

"The cottage was beautiful, very clean with everything we needed. It was so peaceful! Hot tub was brilliant, so relaxing first thing in the morning watching the sunrise. Hosts were fantastic, great communication and really helpful. There were so many lovely places to visit in the surrounding area. Our favourites were Pately Bridge, Brimham Rocks and Stump Cross Caverns. We would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to everyone!"

Wild life is fabulous.The lodge has everything you need for your stay, plus the added bonus of TVs in the bedrooms.Great that there is no mobile phone signal, so it's very relaxing even though there is internetNot too far into Masham for groceries.Our only criticism is, and it's personal preference, is that the sofas are a bit to low for us.The dog loved watching the rabbits and squirrels.Will visit again"

"This is not a luxury house. Cheap second hand uncomfortable furniture, a smelly oven that may not have been cleaned for years (if ever???) and crockery that we needed to wash before we used it. We are not fussy people, but clean and comfortable should be a bare minimum.... Worst of all though was a chirping smoke alarm on the first floor landing, indicating a dead battery. On closer inspection, there wasn't even a battery fitted!! I offered to replace it if the owner couldn't arrange it for...
