"We enjoyed a lovely one night stay at Agents House. We were met with a very warm welcome from the owners and were made to feel instantly at home. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice of home cooked dishes. Location is excellent, on a quiet back road and only a few miles from Hay on Wye. Thoroughly recommended"

"Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time."

Two single beds but not a lot of room to manoeuvre around banged legs on it. kitchen at breakfast - there was no butter 2nd morning and lack of mugs. There were coffee perculators but no coffee to brew only small instant for cups. Food in restaurant- ceasar salad was a big disappointment, chicken overcooked and salad not right leaves for ceasar salad. However staff...

We had to be moved from our room due to the shower tray not draining but there were old coffee stains on the skirting board, tablecloth & curtains, not to mention stains on one of the “clean” towels. "The room was quite spacious, Needed a good hoover and dust. It was hot as curtains were open. Nowhere to put anything down in the bathroom. Bathroom ceiling very low over shower, ok for me at 5'3"but not if you are much taller. Ceiling paint flaking off. Breakfast not what I want but that's personal I suppose. Mattress very soft. Quite good location, lots of parking and a huge garden, about 2 miles from the city so I drove there."
