Located just a few miles from downtown Wimberley, sits the ultimate vacation experience. Welcome to Rock 'n' Wood - a unique 6 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom home with three private living quarters featuring a large swimming pool, two hot tubs and situated on five quiet, peaceful, and private acres.

The property itself offers beautiful oak trees, scenic views, occasional wildlife, and cool, starry Texas nights under the open sky. Whether you're traveling with a large group, or looking for a spacious, romantic getaway - Rock 'n' Wood offers plenty of space for family and friends, accommodating up to 8 guests in the main house, and up to 5 guests in the cottage.

Upon entering the main house, you'll be greeted by the inviting entryway with unique arched stonework. The kitchen is equipped with all essentials needed to prepare that perfect vacation meal, and there is plenty of room for dining either at the breakfast table or dining area. From the large living room, french doors reveal the beautiful swimming pool outside, complete with a hot tub and comfortable outdoor furniture.

Head back inside the main house and you'll find two bedrooms located downstairs, both complete with a king-sized bed. Upstairs is the third primary bedroom with an en-suite bath, featuring a clawfoot tub and tiled, walk-in shower.

Step through the back kitchen door and into the second exterior entrance of the main house, which reveals an additional living area with a fireplace, kitchenette, bedroom with king bed, and attached bath. This space is perfect for groups who are spending time together during the day but prefer the comforts and privacy offered by a completely separate living area.

Speaking of privacy, head out the front door near the kitchenette and the stone path will lead you around to the cottage. Inside the cottage, you'll be greeted by a warm, cozy living area with a fireplace and comfortable seating, and a nicely equipped kitchen and dining area. There are two bedrooms, each with comfortable king beds... because sleeping well on your trip is equally as important as all the fun you'll have during the day. The additional twin bed in the loft is great for one of the kids as well. You'll also love the deck area and jetted hot tub, perfect for some private relaxation before you head back over to the main house.

It's amazing how quickly the tranquil calm washes over you as you sip a glass of your favorite drink and listen to the subtle rustling of the leaves or the soothing waterfall, taking in all the stunning views around you. While relaxing, others can enjoy the home's large backyard pool, hot tub, or maybe even kick up their feet inside and enjoy the big game in one of the three living rooms.

You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Maximum occupancy at all times is 13 guests. Please come and have a good time, but be aware that behavior that is disrespectful or disruptive will result in forfeiting the remainder of your stay. No smoking or pets are allowed on the property. There is a limit of 5 vehicles unless otherwise approved.

Rest and Relaxation

This place was paradise to us. We wanted a cousin couples getaway without our children and this property did not disappoint. We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided not to go into town until check out. The property is peaceful with a beautiful mountain view, lawn and there was even a garden. Us moms can appreciate a thriving garden. We already have planned on coming back.

Family reunion getaway

Overall very nice, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The views and landscaping were lovely. We had issues with the pool being cloudy and in need of a good cleaning/scrubbing. We also had issues with one a/c unit for the one bedroom space in the middle of the 3 areas. The management company responded quickly and politely to either help or fix our concerns, even providing a portable a/c unit at 10 pm since no repair company could come until morning. This is a perfect property for family groups wanting some privacy but still wanting to stay together.

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful setting and gated community. Spacious accommodations with 3 separate living quarters, perfect for multiple families for additional privacy. The backyard offers wonderful views to enjoy the sunset while cooling off in the swimming pool. Highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again!

3 Homes n One

This property was AMAZING for our Annual family vacay. Basically getting 3 homes in one. The house is separated into 3 individual living quarters which allowed our entire family to gather in a main area and also have relaxing separate sleeping arrangements or individual time. Outdoor patio/pool/grilling area is nice and large. The 3 kitchens were nicely stocked.

A Hill Country Oasis

A family oasis in the middle of the Texas Hill Country. A 5-star hotel could not have provided better amenities, accommodations, ambiance, and a relaxing and restful experience. We didn't go "shopping" or "sightseeing" because we were too busy lolling in the pool, napping, cooking (in a great kitchen), eating, watching sports on various TVs, playing games and just enjoying family time. There was PLENTY of room for us to enjoy multiple activities at the same time and each family branch enjoyed a modicum of privacy in the separate houses. (Houston, Ft. Worth, West Columbia Texas and Minnesota) This is our new "go to" place to enjoy family.

Amazing pool!

I have actually stayed at this property before, about 11 years ago and again this year. What a great pool! Perfect size, very clean and lots of sitting areas. The house was comfortable but a little neglected. Furniture needs major updating, its worn and unsafe. Wasps, doodle bugs, Hornets and Scorpions were not only outside but inside as well. The pest control needs some attention. The house was fairly clean but dead and living bugs everywhere in every room. Wasps in the kitchen and living room. Door to pool doesnt stay shut and there is no weather stripping keeping anything out, therefore allowing pests inside. The smoke alarm randomly went off 3 am one morning, with zero evidence of anything smoking, fire, etc…guess it was faulty? The wifi was non existent, despite it being advertised. Its a fun cozy place, but for the prices being charged…needs major updates.

This property was very large and roomy. All three bedrooms were large and comfortable, and beds were comfy. The kitchen is large and well stocked. (We did not cook there). We had a great stay and were very comfortable. Highly recommend. :)

Perfect, Inside and Out!

This is a gorgeous property located off the beaten path but still central to the assorted family wedding events we came to attend in Austin, San Marcos, Wimberly, and Kyle. The space is just beautiful inside with designer level decorations and comfortable furnishings and a very well-appointed kitchen. The outdoor pool, hot tub, and firepit were perfect for relaxing and we enjoyed having time both is Austin for the bigger attractions and exploring the little shops and restaurants in Wimberley as well. The space is well set up for multiple adult couples, with separate bathrooms, sitting areas, and even a smaller apartment. (I'm not sure where younger children might stay/sleep, although the pool would be perfect for families and there were some children's games, books, and toys onsite.) The one awkward thing is the lack of a door between the master bedroom and master bath, although the actual toilet is more private behind a half wall; turning on a bathroom light at night meant flooding the bedroom with light, too. This was minor overall with the beautiful rooms and spaces more than making up for it. Everything was clean when we arrived and the house was well supplied with basics like paper towels, hand soap for bathrooms, some general spices and paper products. We would be delighted to book again if we visit the area!

Rock n' Wood was amazing!

Our stay at this beautiful home was absolutely perfect! The kitchen was spacious with plenty of room for entertaining. The pool and backyard was an oasis for friends to hang out and have a great time. Location was also great - quiet for some R&R, yet close enough to WImberley square and shopping/restaurants when we ventured out. Overall, a great stay! We would come back for sure!!
