"The room was lovely looking. However, the runner across the foot of bed was printed on a sheet. Also, the room had a horrible odor. We told the desk and they said it was probably caused by humidity. No help was offered."

"We are not picky travelers. In town for the races and don’t need anything special. We have stayed here in the past but this place continues to go down hill. The ceiling has cracks, the ac doesn’t work, and there is no smoke detector. The wires where the smoke detector goes are hanging there and that’s it. The bed wasn’t even made. The sheet was just thrown on, the wrong way, and the cover over the top of it. Do not recommend."

"The carpets need to be cleaned and there were many things that needed to be repaired or updated. The water pressure in the shower was HORRIBLE. The beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious. Check in staff was friendly. The pool was nice, but small."

"The room was clean and comfortable but WAY over priced for what you got. We had a 2 queen suite with great breakfast the night before in Cranberry Lodge Resort in Tomah that cost less than the very basic king bed room here. I do not recommend staying in Menomonie when possible. The entire town seems to be overpriced."

"Stephanie is absolutely delightful! Wonderful knowledge of the community and the history of Oaklawn Inn and Menominee in general. This is a charming and thoughtful bed-and-breakfast. Speaking of breakfast… it was great! A special bonus is the large wraparound screen porch with lots of comfortable seating. We will be back in September and we’re going to book now. "
