"Absolutely gorgeous home and property. We had a family reunion with 8 adults, 7 kids and this property was awesome. Lots of space to be together but lots of space to spread out as well. We really enjoyed swimming in the pool, fishing for crabs off the dock and playing yard games. Kitchen was well stocked with lots of utensils, cookware, crock pot, etc. Thank you for a great stay!"

While the house had plenty of room to allow everyone to fit comfortably and spread out, it also provided lots of spaces for us to gather together as a large group. "Beautiful property within walking distance of multiple restaurants. Came here for the half Ironman and it was great to be close to the venue. The church bell did ring several times through the night which didn wake me up. Will definitely stay here again!"

"We enjoyed staying in the loft. There are some steps so if you have trouble walking steps, I wouldn’t recommend the loft. However, we didn’t mind. We would stay there again if we ever past through there again"

"As a family with multiple people in a wedding at Vanderwende Acres, this house was in the prime spot. The house offered quick access for traveling to and from the wedding venue for multiple events in a weekend. The house had great amenities such as a separate pool table room which could not be heard in the bedrooms when trying to put our kids down. The bedrooms had ample space for family members to choose from and lawn offered space for the kids to run."

"Beautiful home and wooded lot, just steps from the Choptank River. The owners are friendly & check to make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable. We arrived very late the first night and they left us coffee and cream in the fridge for the next morning. This property is very private, yet close to all shopping and dining. Crystal clean in-ground pool, dock with chairs, firepit, fishing poles, grill, kayaks. We will be back! "
