"The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. "The Counting House was perfect for our week in Northumberland. It was very comfortable and clean and we felt very at home there. "

"The cottage is hidden away in the heart of Wooler village and is a great base for walks (I'd recommend the short walk to Wooler Common) and visits to local towns, beaches and attractions. It had ample parking and was comfortable for our family of 4. The cottage is well maintained and decorated beautifully and it felt like home for our stay. Communication with hosts was friendly, clear and efficient and check-in and out was easy."

"The view from the cottage is outstanding. A long wooden table in the conservatory to sit about 8 people. There are comfy chairs too to relax in. The lounge is kind of rustic and a wee bit dark during the day. Ample table lamps to give a nice aura when it’s dark. I think there is way too much furniture in the room to be honest. "The Gate House is exactly as described. The property is small but very well appointed (in fact, it felt the perfect size). The host was quick to respond to queries and both thoughtful and detailed in replies. The views of the surrounding landscape are beautiful. The hot tub is nice.
