Cooks Cottage, spacious and conveniently located

Conveniently located on Cook drive, you are within a gentle stroll from the beach and shops, no need to drive and battle for parking in the peak holiday periods.
Just a couple of doors down from the Lost Spring a luxury thermal pool and day spa, with a cafe for great food and coffee. Lots of golf courses in the surrounding areas making it ideal for girl / boys or couples weekends or getaways!
Well maintained with mod cons and comfortable furnishings to enable you to just arrive and enjoy.
Great layout with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on both levels, a lounge upstairs and a rumpus downstairs for giving it the ability for two families or groups of friends to have their own spaces.
A third bathroom in the garage for a shower on return from beach or fishing.
Plenty of off road parking for cars and boat and an outdoor filleting bench with a functioning sink.
The rumpus room contains a table tennis table, their are tennis rackets, golf clubs and lots of board games to keep kids (and adults) entertained and plenty of room for the kids to run around on the front lawn.
Well set up for toddlers with a fully secured lawn area out the back so you can relax while they play! Contains half sized bath and a clean portacot so you don't have to bring the kitchen sink.
Special conditions:
Cleaner at end of stay compulsory POA. Cleaning Price dependant on number of guests but approx $100 if property left in a tidy condition. POA, Linen available POA, no parties please. No WIFI

Great property for sharing with two families. Adults upstairs and kids downstairs worked really well for us (also space for a full family to share a room downstairs if needed). Plenty of utensils, the kitchen, for cooking and dining. Lots of space for everyone to relax, and games to play etc were great. Everything a classic bach should be!We enjoyed and easy cycle to the town and the beach - nice flat area. Will stay again if we come back to Whitianga! Thanks Kym for sharing your property.

How things change

On the Friday morning when we were to inter my late wife's ashes in the Whitianga cemetery, I tripped when stepping up onto the front patio and dislocated my right shoulder. The 4 greatgranddaughters and my daughter went to the cemetery and completed the burial as arranged. I, accompanied by my son and granddaughter, went to the clinic then over to Thames hospital where it was put back in finally. Back to Whitianga midnight. We visited the cemetery before leaving for Auckland the next morning. The house was all we could have asked for and I would be very happy to return for a longer stay. I am afraid I was not clear of drugs when we left but think, and hope, we left it tidy, everything in its place and clear of our rubbish. Kym was an excellent communicator. I cannot really fault any part of the whole arrangement and experience, apart from my own carelessness.

Not worth the money

House was clean however we were little disappointment by the service provide! Toiletries were not provided apart from toilet paper. Would have been nice to include sheets and towels for future. my friends were bit upset as WiFi was not provided and other things as well utensils were not clean. Happy that we only booked it for one day and not two.

Great location and excellent for a larger group of differing ages. Separate downstairs lounge for those travelling with older kids. Bathrooms were good with good water pressure. BBQ could do with an upgrade as it is very rusty and on it's last legs . Other than that slight negative I would recommend

Fantastic weekend!

Great stay - thank you!

Thank you we had a great stay - the place was very clean, kitchen well equipped, modern bathrooms, spacious rooms/good room config for a big group (11 of us) including comfortable beds. Only downside were the creaky stairs. Great location - a stroll to the Lost Spring and walkable to the supermarkets and esplanade. It was a great place to base to further explore nearby beaches.
