Start your day with a visit to Whitby Harbour, where you can walk along the seafront and watch fishing boats bob in the water. Whitby’s sandy beaches offer plenty of space for sandcastle building, and paddling. A visit to the iconic Whitby Abbey (2 miles away by car) is a must – climb the 199 Steps for a breathtaking view before exploring the atmospheric ruins that inspired the Dracula novel. Back in town, stroll along the cobbled streets of the old quarter for shops, cafes, and fish and chip spots. History lovers can explore the Captain Cook Memorial Museum or can take part in a Ghost Walk. For an aquatic adventure, take a boat trip out to sea to spot seals and dolphins. A few steps from the road and you’ll enter into the stylishly tiled hallway leading towards a well-proportioned lounge with flame-effect electric fire, where a large window bathes the space in natural light and frames stunning views of the sea.
