Put the stress of work and city life behind you as you relax on the large patio overlooking the dunes with the ocean just a few steps away. You’re only a short drive from the marina, the lighthouse, and the local grocery store. Bring your bikes and enjoy the connection to the paved Westport Oceanfront Trail which leads from the lighthouse along the ocean’s edge to the marina for an enjoyable three-mile ride! And as this home is just steps from miles of pristine sandy beach, you can hunt for agates, boogie board, birdwatch, or simply stroll along the water's edge.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Prperty was amazing. inside house was not so clean. Dust and dog hair. Kitchen was not cleaned, counters were not wiped down and food stuck on them and insude cubbords had crumbs of food everywhere.Bedrooms were very clean

Fantastic location on fairly wild beach. House is relatively new and properly outfitted. We had a wonderful time with deer visiting us in the hot tub and sometimes looking in the window. We really enjoyed exploring the beach and town. My only issues were Alexa recording systems in the master bedroom and living room, and a sticker on the living room window that said something like “Video monitoring in use. You might not see us, but we see you.” This seemed a little creepy.

Overall, the house was comfortable. However it is in need of maintenance. All screen doors need replacement. The fan on stove causes the propane burners to go out. There was no remote for the garage door. House needs an good cleaning.

Stayed 4 nights at this waterfront home garbage can in front of house tipped over took 3 days for mayo clean it up. Unit is small just 3 bedrooms do one of our group slept on couch. Garage very dirty outside deck dirty

We never got to stay! After driving 3 hours we wete so glad to get there…the house was a complete disaster! Dirty dishes old food, and the bedding had not been washed. There was a strange musty odor we looked up at the ceiling there was a huge bubblethat had been leaking water hence the musty smell! Steer clear of this prosty…don’t rent! They said they would refund us but that doesn’t make up for our ruining our vacation, and what about drive time and gas’!!!

The property needs some minor maintenance. Everything else is spot on. We visited in April. At 4PM, we were the only people in view. Deer wander up and down the coastline in the mornings and evenings. The house is spacious with many access points. The neighborhood (at the time) was still under construction on the outskirts of a 2,200-population town. Local grocery store and fuel and several blocks of shops and restaurants. If you like a good view of the ocean, this house serves up several from the back deck and hot tub to the primary bedroom, bathtub, and (yes) one of the toilets. WiFi signal strength was weak, at least in the kitchen/TV area, but still usable for some purposes. This was my first Vrbo rental and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

View is amazing and right on the beach. Girls enjoyed the hot tub! Over all the house needed to be cleaned and the master bed had sand all over. The downstairs TV, shower and livingroom DVD player didn't work. In the future I wouldn't stay at this house again.

Loved this house so much!! What a dream. Being able to look at and listen to the sea from any room in the house, being able to run off the front deck down a private path to the beach, nothing is better! But the house was also gorgeous and perfect, and I hope to go back in the summer.

Overall? 4.5 /5. Would stay again. The house is beautiful, location is perfect and stunning. The reason for half star gone is the kitchen utensils/ tools need serious upgrades. The propane being empty was a hassle (easy fix, but had to make 2 store runs on a vacation where we wanted to be homebodies) for this price point we just expected smooth sailing. They did their best to make it right. Thank you for lovely memories!

The ocean views from this house are fantastic, especially from the master bedroom. The layout of the house, inside and out, allows for a lot of space to spread out and relax. Use of the garage is also a huge bonus. All the amenities worked great and we didn’t have any problems at all.The house was clean, but could use a deep cleaning (inside the kitchen drawers were a little grimy and there was old food and ketchup in the knife block). You could tell that this house is a gem architecturally and with some love and updates could be a 5* vacation home.

We loved this home - I wish it would have been a longer trip. We stayed 2 nights. The views were fantastic. I enjoyed listening to and watching the waves. The kitchen was stocked well. The master bathroom was beautiful. Unfortunately, the hot tub did not work. The kids were pretty disappointed. The property manager responded quickly when we reached out about the hot tub. I asked for late checkout in exchange and it was granted.

No complaints other than receiving zero notice that the hot tub advertised was out of commission and not scheduled to be fixed until we’ll after our stay. That resulted in two very sad kids who were looking forward to the hot tub (their favorite amenity of any house).

Our family often goes to the coast for a winter getaway. Our daughter’s family has stayed numerous times at the Jaeger home but it was my first time there. It’s a lovely and cozy place to stay especially when the wind is howling and the temperature is below freezing. The kitchen is well stocked and made cooking all of our meals in an enjoyable experience. Can’t wait to return to enjoy all of the outdoor spaces this home has to offer. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house. The view cannot be beat and the house was as shown in the photos. The spaces are divided really well for a family trip —bedrooms are quiet even if people are up and socializing in the livingroom/kitchen area. Kitchen was great for cooking. Hot tub was wonderful. Would rent again!

We arrived on an unusually hot Saturday just after 4 pm and the home temperature was 82 degrees. We knew the home didn't have AC, so we promptly tried to cool the home down by opening doors and windows. So this is where the disappointment begins and kept on going...First screen doors in really bad shape, coming off the track and when you do get them to stay on, with any breeze, they fly open on the bottom. Thus, letting lots of bugs into the home. Several windows broken, and won't open. Pulled the car in the garage and found a full garbage can that reeked, plus a garbage bag left outside of can. There was a garbage can outside half empty, so why is garbage left in garage? Plus, my husband noticed maggots by the garage door opening. Immediately red flags begin on the cleanliness of this home. As a previous guests mentioned (VRBO and VACASA) carpets are extremely stained, kitchen counter and stove top had left over food substances. Half bath toilet had urine stains on underside, master bath shower was plugged, lower level bathroom toilet plugged, We later encountered burned out light bulbs-back deck, BBQ area, and master bath recessed can lights. Tried to light the outside fire pit, but no lighter as indicated on directions. So, we tried to make the best of it for two days...enjoyed walks on the beach with our dog and took in the views from the decks. Speaking of dogs....forgot to mention the abundance of dog feces left around the home. Not our dog....promise! I truly hope this review gets posted and others are warned about this homes condition, or just maybe the management team could address some of these issues!

This is a beautiful home that has fallen into disrepair. It is such an amazing location. I wish someone loved and cared for this house. CONS We visited the last week in August. Weather outside was at a high of 70-75 on average. Interior of the house would get over 85 degrees around 5:30 pm. Insufferable around dinner time. There is/are no ac, no ceiling fans, no floor fans, no real window coverings/drapes. Several windows are not covered at all. Leaving all doors/windows open doesn’t make any difference except in the early morning and late evening/night. There is a horn/whistle that blows constantly in the distance. Possibly from a lighthouse and may be heard by some but not others. Screen doors are broken from the rails and swing back and forth. Many windows are broken and won’t open. Neighbors directly to the right do not seem real keen on transient neighbors which I can understand. Husband said “hello” but wife growled something at me under her breath. The carpets are quite dirty which was mentioned in a review over 30 days ago. They need to be deep cleaned, not simply vacuumed. Drain in the master shower will back-up if both shower heads are used at the same time. Handles on drawers and closets literally DROP off. The bath towels have strong smell of mold even though they are clean. The scent of mold also permeates rooms in the house when it is very hot so there may be issues with ventilation on hotter days. The problems I’ve mentioned here aren’t things I could have “called in” to management. It will take weeks or months for these repairs. PROS Housekeeping does a great job getting things cleaned within their control. The layout is cool - master on what could be a third floor, two other bedrooms on a basement level. No upstairs noise in any bedroom. Lovely open kitchen with high end appliances. Microwave didn’t work very well. AMAZING views. VERY private even though there are houses closely adjacent. Very short walk to paved path down to the beach perfect for strollers/bikes. Beaches were not crowded, especially on weekdays and early morning. Very comfortable couches and beds. A NEW dish sponge in the wrapper and small bottle of Palmolive for dishes was provided. This is always a really big deal to me. It’s so gross to find an old/used dish sponge dripping in the soap dish. This is a small touch that goes a long way with me.
