"The property is undeniably beautiful, with immaculate gardens and elegant rooms that create a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere. Breakfast was wonderful each morning, fresh, generous, and thoughtfully prepared. However, for the price paid, several service issues were disappointing. Communication from staff was slow, and a significant problem with the shower drainage resulted in water pooling on the bathroom floor. Patrick and Lamla (spelling?) were terrific and looked after us like family, even driving out to buy me some zamaleks when the hotel didnt stock it. Rooms are spotless and attention to detail terrif. Chef's Warehouse restaurant is a must. This was our second visit in a year and cannot wait to come back again. Very highly recommend it. "

At present their restaurant and spa are closed which was disappointing. I would recommend having a car to stay here as it isn’t possible to walk anywhere and it is c30 minutes in a taxi to Cape Town and 15 minutes to Hout bay. We had expected to be able to eat in the hotel. "
