Custom cottage close to everything-Enjoy long walks on beach without the crowds!

Langworthy Cottage is a quaint, quiet, modern, open concept one bedroom home. Cottage featuring one bedroom with king size bed. Also features quartz countertops, hardwoods, pull out sofa with queen size mattress, and organization detail that is second to none. Perfect for a couple or small family looking for a great getaway surrounded by beaches, attractions, restaurants and golf. Close to Downtown Westerly, Watch Hill, URI, Foxwoods, URI, Narragansett and Mystic. Easy access to Block Island and Newport.
The cottage has 2 beach cruiser bicycles with helmets available for use with rental. Along with 2 beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach bag with towels, and a a beach pass for access to local beach.
We recently finished construction and continue to work on the landscape.

Karen's place is the best VRBO I've stayed in yet. She provided so many details to assure our comfort. The place is clean, quiet, up-to-date, lovely, and extremely comfortable. The full kitchen is well equipped. There are plenty of pillows and towels, even 2 terry robes. Karen is very easy to communicate with. They live right next door, in case you need anything. If we could give 6 stars, we would!

I almost don’t want to write this bc I want to keep this place a secret so it has availability for us to come back! I would say my husband and I have high standards when it comes to cleanliness and we were more than satisfied. The place was perfect. Beautifully decorated, had everything we needed and felt like we were being pampered with all the little niceties Karen and Peter left for us upon arrival. The kids thought the heated toilet seat was very cool lol. The house is set back from the road so we felt safe letting our kids play outside. We loved hanging out on the porch…my kids were out there at 630am most days. We cooked dinner there several nights and had everything we needed. We appreciated the kitchen having a regular coffee pot and a keurig machine. They had two robes in the bathroom which was a plus on those colder mornings. The icing on the cake was the beach pass. We will be back!

Beach Vacation 2025

Langworthy cottage is situated in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the rustic RI beach town of Misquamicut. It was the perfect spot for our trip. The cottage is completely outfitted with everything you need including a beach pass and all the necessary beach day accoutrements. The cottage has a designer feel to it and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a large porch for evening relaxation. To top it all off, Karen and Peter are the best hosts you could have. An excellent value and a wonderful location. We highly recommend this cottage for your stay in RI.

Wonderful experience

This is a lovely apartment located about a mile from the beach. Everything you need is provided including a washer and dryer. It’s beautifully appointed and has a small market at the end of the road for anything you may need as well as homemade food and soups.

Perfect central location. Very quiet and comfortable. Loved the comfortable furniture, super well stocked kitchen and beach inspired decorations ! The pass to Dune’s park was a huge plus!

Wonderful Honeymoon

We spent our honeymoon at the beautiful Langworthy Cottage. It was amazing. Karen was an amazing host and she ensured that we had everything we needed. The location was amazing, a couple miles to the beach. Our host pointed us to an amazing Oyster Bar for dinner about 20 minutes away. Matunuck Oyster Bar. That was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here. The place was beautiful and provided everything we needed! This was my favorite VRBO experience! A vacation dreamhouse in Westerly RI

The Langworthy cottage in Westerly was amazing. We were there for three weeks. The hosts were pleasant and gracious. They were exceptional and they greeted us with muffins and a bottle of wine. Sitting on the porch.drinking our coffee or wine, we felt as though we were at an arboretum. The flowering shrubs, flower pots and landscaping was beautiful. This cottage had everything we needed and it exceeded our expectations. It was comfortable and very clean. The location is close to the beach, to a wide variety of restaurants, sightseeing and shopping. We will definitely look forward to staying there again. John and Judy T Ohio

Amazing!

This cottage is beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable and immaculate. The layout is perfect, especially the kitchen which we loved and enjoyed immensely. A lot of thought was put into this space including the cathedral ceilings with wonderful efficient ceiling fans, fresh light paint throughout, durable light floors and fabulous kitchen and bathrooms. Small cozy space that felt huge. Beautiful gardens surround it. The bedroom is lovely, the linens are so clean, the mattress is like a cloud and offers a peaceful and restful sleep. Karen and her husband are so personable and thoughtful. We never felt uncomfortable or out of place, we always felt like we were in our own home. As serious cooks we brought a lot from our own kitchen but didn’t need to because it’s well equipped. We did bring battery operated twinkle lights ,fresh flowers and candles to make it even more special but this space is special on its own. We are currently working on dates to reserve this cottage again. We are avid beach lovers so this is such a perfect spot to call home while visiting since it’s less than a mile to Misquamicut and surrounding beaches are very close. This would also be a great winter destination, a short drive into Mystic CT or a walk on the beach in the cold is exhilarating. Come back to a cozy cottage with a gas fireplace and cook up a hearty meal in a beautiful kitchen. This is a gem year round! Thank you Karen and Peter!

Lovely cottage!

We stayed here as a "home base" for part of a road trip celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. The cottage was lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. Karen was a thoughtful host who left us several treats to make our celebration special. She met us at the cottage to share info about the house and give us the key, and she made herself available in case we needed anything. We had a wonderful time!

A great retreat for travelers

Perfect Temporary Home!

We are awaiting construction on our home to be finished and this is the 3rd place we’ve stayed. It is the best so far and exactly what you see and described online, unlike some. Karen is a fantastic host and has thought of everything you’d need. The cottage is beautifully decorated. She welcomed us with wine and muffins from local businesses. Wish we could stay longer. Will definitely consider this for future stays given proximity to the beaches, Weekapaug, Watch Hill and other areas.

Great Stay at this Wonderful Cottage!

I recently stayed at this beautiful cottage. Even though I was late arriving the host was available to show me around., and had delicious muffins and cupcakes for me. I brought my parents for their 60th birthday and she also had gotten a bottle of champagne to help celebrate, which was really thoughtful. The cottage was the perfect size for the three of us. The bedroom has a beautiful and comfortable bed, and the living room had a large pullout bed. There was a great walk-in closet and well-appointed bathrooms. The cottage was also designed so well. The kitchen had all the amenities for a gourmet, and small touches like pocket doors in the bedroom and a barn door on the half bath really made the whole experience feel high-end. The cottage was also close to all amenities. I hated to leave.

Beautifully payed out cottage close to family beach

The cottage had the perfect layout, appliances and amenities for a couple with a small child. Extra nice touches such as a guest welcome book, freshly cut flowers and locally baked muffins and coffee. Both beds extremely comfortable. Located short drive from Dunes Park Beach, a local family beach and stay included day parking pass - who could ask for more? Close 20 minute drive to Mystic CT and aquarium.

A Perfect Week-long Stay
