Welcome to our beautifully updated home, in a peaceful beach neighborhood. Sweet Spot Getaway is a newly renovated charmer, nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, in a neighborhood with private beach access. Take a 5 minute stroll to the beach, or drive 6 minutes to the town beach. Our home features 3 spacious bedrooms, with the main bedroom on the first floor, 2.5 updated bathrooms, a garage, and a large, open family room. There is a chef's kitchen with all the necessary amenities and new appliances. Grill and chill outside on our covered and uncovered patios, or relax in our central air conditioned, open family room. There is beautiful wood flooring and central A/C controlled by Nest thermostats throughout the entire house.

Sweet Spot Getaway is easy to get to, as it is about a 5 minute drive off the highway, and accessible to the Westbrook Shoreline East train station for access into NYC. It is the perfect location to work from home and be inspired with creativity as you relax on the quiet private neighborhood beach. Our fast Wi-Fi speeds make remote working easy.

Have an event at the Water's Edge Resort or the Elk's Lodge? Attending a graduation at Yale or another university? Our home can serve as a perfect family friendly alternative to staying on the resort while being only a 1 minute drive to Water's Edge, a 5 minute drive to the Elk's Lodge, and an easy 35 minute drive to Yale. Our large chef's kitchen is modern and stocked with everything you need to cook for your family. We know how challenging it can be travelling with small children. Our Sweet Spot Getaway will give you the space you need for napping, meals, relaxing time, playing games in the backyard, and being able to cook in the kitchen or BBQ on the outdoor propane grill.

There is plenty of space to spread out, with 2 bedrooms upstairs, and a large main bedroom with en-suite bathroom, downstairs. The main bedroom has plenty of room for a portable crib (not provided) for those travelling with infants. Our home has ample space for a family reunion, or a change of scenery to spend the holidays with your friends and family. It is also perfect for a solo trip or a romantic getaway. Enjoy delicious restaurants, local shopping at 2 different outlet malls, wineries, and of course, the local beaches. There are many surrounding attractions that are easy to reach, including Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos, the Essex Steam Train & Riverboat, Gillette Castle, the Katherine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, Goodspeed Opera House, Mystic Aquarium, and Mystic Seaport.

“Sweet spot getaway” was ‘hands-down’ the most lovely VRBO rental we have stayed in thus far! We gathered here for my son‘s wedding, and Kevin’s attention for every detail, including welcome snacks, a lovely bottle of wine, and fully stacked coffee supplies, greeted us. The house has every convenience, the beds are super comfortable, and the location is ideal, with only a short walk to a lovely little neighborhood beach. Kevin responded immediately to any questions we had. He was flexible and accommodating. Would love to return here again! Absolutely five stars!

We we’re in town for a family wedding and it was the perfect place to stay. Our host provided everything we needed and more. The house was clean and well stocked. He checked in when we arrived and was available should we need him. I would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely go back if we were ever in the area!

This house is really great. Stayed with 3 friends, and there was plenty of space for us all to do our thing, to get ready for the day without tripping on each other. It was really clean. Easy walk to a beautiful private beach. Super quiet neighborhood. Owner is great at communicating - very quick and thorough responses. Highly recommend this home for rentals.

I stayed at this property for my bachelorette weekend this August, and it was everything I could have imagined and more. I was looking for a place that would house myself and my four sisters, one that would allow us space but also a central location for games and togetherness. This space had it ALL! Check in was a breeze, the house was extremely clean, and there were so many sitting areas both indoors and outdoors to gather. Not to mention the massive island in the kitchen! The house is situated in the most perfect location that is so close to the beach, as well as other attractions like Mohegan Sun. I can’t recommend Kevin’s place enough, it was truly perfection. Thanks Kevin!

We had a wonderful stay—this home is in a pristine, peaceful neighborhood that’s both charming and relaxing. The area feels very safe and is perfect for a quiet getaway.The only small note I’d offer is that the main photo can be a bit misleading—it gives the impression that the beach is directly accessible from the backyard, when in fact it’s a short walk away. That said, the beach is still very close and easy to get to, and the overall experience was fantastic.We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again!

Kevin's place was the perfect family-vacation destination. Comfortable, equipped with anything we could possibly need, clean, spacious, and updated. Lovely home with all the right touches!

We loved our stay in this home! The place is sparkling clean. They have all of the amenities you need from towels, to snacks and even a complimentary bottle of wine! The furniture and fixtures are all new and luxury level. Rooms are spacious. Neighborhood is quiet and wonderful to take a walk or a run. Host was very responsive and friendly! Highly recommend!

Holiday getaway

Lovely, spacious and clean. We spent our Christmas holiday together with our family and the house was spacious and spotless. We had 5 adults with 2 small children in house. We hosted Christmas dinner for us and local family. Great space. Would love to rent in summer months to utilize outdoor space

Beyond expectations

This house and property really is as pictured. It was the perfect amount of space for casual gatherings and the bedrooms are large. Everything feels new with updated appliances, bathrooms, countertops, etc. the bathrooms are large, plenty of room for two in the master bath with the double sinks. I had trouble filling out my document on line and bothe Kevin and the property manager were responsive, patient, helpful and so nice!everything worked, loved the labeled light switches! The kitchen was stocked with more than you’ll need in terms of utensils - there was even a pad of paper, pens, scissors, and rubber bands! The area is just lovely for walking around - could get my 2 miles in with very few cars. Honestly, I can’t say enough! I would stay there again for sure.

Exceeded all Expectations

I stayed at this property with 5 other adults for a long weekend and we loved everything about it! It was clean, well-furnished, and full of thoughtful additions (e.g, a snack basket, extra toiletries) that made us feel welcome. The short walk to the beach made for some lovely morning walks. All in all, our stay was phenomenal!

Our stay worked out great. I came with my wife, bother, sister-law, sister and niece to visit my sister in Westbrook. The house was perfect for our group and we enjoyed the local sites and eateries. Would definitely consider this place again when we visit.it was very clean and Kevin the owner even dropped off some coffee for our stay since they were out.

labor day weekend vaca

Together with our cousins we had such a lovely weekend stay. The house is beautiful, clean, and exactly as described. It is a short walk to the beach, and the kids enjoyed riding their bikes there. We drove to the bigger town beach one of the days which was also beautiful. Our favorite part was to hang on the covered patio at night time after dinner. Thank you for offering your home to us! Highly recommended.
