  • Cozy ranch about 5.5 miles from Purdue University, conveniently located minutes from Coyote Crossing golf course, peaceful backyard with a firepit. Family friendly 2-bedroom house with an updated bathroom. Fully stocked with washer and dryer. Wi-Fi available with Roku. 2 car garage
    Full access to the entire house. Garage available if needed.
    This house is on a well system but there are filters and a water softener in place as well as a drinking faucet at the sink.
    I am available if you are to need anything throughout your stay, and if I am unavailable I will let you know :)

Great location for visiting Lafayette/West Lafayette. Communication with host was excellent. House was as described and meet our expectations. Amenities were good with plenty of dishes and cookware. House was clean and well appointed.

Great place for a Purdue visit!

Excellent property for a weekend visit with our Purdue student. Well equipt kitchen with lots of extras. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here at soldiers home for 2 nights for a wedding. It was very comfortable and spacious. If in the area, I would stay here again.

Nice & Clean

This is the second time I've stayed here. I just used it for sleeping but it was clean, cool in the summer and pleasant. I would definitely come back!

Sweet little ranch next to a corn field.

My family enjoyed the property. It was nice, clean and quiet. Excellent bathroom and shower. It’s lovely.

Great quiet place

The property is situated away from the hustle of campus and its immediate surroundings, but still close to where it didn't take long to get there. Would be a perfect place to stay again for a game day!

We enjoyed our stay at this charming little house. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we would sit out on the porch and look at the trees and listen to the birds in the morning. It is very bright and airy with lots of windows. It was immaculately clean. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Purdue Student Needed a Temporary Place to Stay

My PU student needed a place to live for the first few days of class, as her apartment lease started a week after classes began. She and I shared the Soldiers Home property for the week and everything was awesome. The house is clean, comfortable and worked out perfectly for us. The property manager was friendly and very responsive. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We had an issue with code entry after we arrived. The owner did send the manager and he was able to get us in the house. Also we were supposed to be able to access YouTube tv but the devices had been signed out so we couldn’t watch tv. We contacted the owner but the issue was never resolved. The house was rather expensive to not have those amenities.

Dream Hideaway! Where Travel Meets Comfort!

My recent stay at the "Soldiers Home," or as I fondly call it, the "Field Of Dreams" rental in West Lafayette, was a delightful experience. Situated just 5.5 miles from Purdue University, it's an ideal spot for students, proud parents, or anyone who enjoys the company of brainy Boilermakers. But there's more to this cozy two-bedroom gem nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The place is not just cute; it's Instagram-worthy. The attention to detail is impressive, making it feel like a home away from home. From the well-equipped kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker to the abundance of dishes and utensils, it's a paradise for those who love cooking. The laundry facilities are a lifesaver, complete with a washer and dryer. They've even thought of the little things, like providing a hairdryer – a small touch that adds to the overall comfort. The backyard is a relaxation haven with inviting Adirondack chairs. Parking is a breeze with a spacious driveway. Entertainment-wise, there's a TV with Roku, and if you have an Apple TV account, you're in for a treat. I couldn't resist binge-watching "The Morning Show" – a phenomenal cast, no doubt. Safety is a top priority here, with smoke detectors, a fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detectors, and a first aid kit. You'll feel safer than ever. And let's not forget the fantastic host – accessible, reliable, and quick to respond to any queries. In summary, the Soldiers Home is where comfort meets travel!

Quiet and quaint

I was visiting my daughter in grad school. Brought my younger daughter who stayed with her but not enough room for the two of us. There were two Vrbo places available equal distance to her apartment, here and close to downtown. The other was smaller and less expensive but I am very happy I stayed here. The three best reasons for staying here are that it is quiet, it is in the country but very close to everywhere you’d want to go, and I was able to park in the garage. I was traveling 9+ hours to get here from Minnesota and loved the check in process which was getting an email with the combination to the front door lock which worked out great because I couldn’t guarantee an exact arrival time. I didn’t really used the kitchen except to cook a frozen pizza but it was well stocked with appliances and utensils. They even had an air fryer! I believe the water was well water so I bought a case of bottled water for drinking but regardless I do that no matter where I’m staying. There was also roku on the television but I didn’t use theirs, I always bring my own Roku stick with my own apps pre-installed and logged into. Plenty of room for more than just me, and check out was a breeze, any linens and towels used leave on the washing machine, and wash your dishes. My one disappointment was I saw a mobile fire pit in a photo although no mention of it in the description. I was hoping to have my daughters and the bf over to sit around a fire after playing a game of Distilled (awesome board
