Ideal location, easy check in and out, room clean and friendly staff.

We stayed in Room 8 first floor at the back of the hotel which was quiet and away from traffic. The room was exceptionally clean with premium bed linen. There was plenty of hot water for the bath and the TV had Netflix and other smart channels. The hotel does not have a lift, but staff are available to help carry luggage. There was a tower fan in the bedroom wardrobe. There is small courtyard free car park for about 10 cars. We parked on site at the hotel side which had parking for 2 cars. One designated for the disabled. There is more parking at the supermarket behind the hotel within walking distance, but it is free only for the first 2 hours. We were on Bed and breakfast for one night. The breakfast was excellent with cereal, fruit, tea, coffee and the full English cooked to order. I would ask the management or hotel owner to seriously consider adding the option of “small plate” meals, because not everyone can eat a large meal. This would save on food left over wastage, a lower price and cater for customers on diets or needing smaller meals. We liked the hotel, its charm and heritage, a great find. All the staff scored 10/10 for their helpfulness and they looked happy in their work. Overall, great value for money and would happily stay again.

The staff were very nice and genuine. Breakfast was straightforward and decent. The room was clean and comfortable, pressure on the shower was good. The hotel is at the top of a hill, which isn't an issue unless you have real mobility problems. The property has no lifts. There is a patrons car attached with an exit onto a small one way road, which was easy to exit.

It was a good experience but struggled to get into the apartment due to a communication gap. Remote control for the TV stopped working but the ambience of the room was excellent
