"Pet-friendly with a beautiful backyard for everyone to enjoy. The chicken coupes, the garden, the location, the ease of check in, the cleanliness- and there’s so much to do in the area too! We will be back: this was one of the best vrbo stays we have ever had. "

"The owners and staff are terrific - very welcoming and caring. The cabin is cute and cozy. The river runs right in front of the cabin, with access to kayaks, etc. right there. Waterville is a very cute town with good eateries. I loved the Toledo Zoo which is nearby. Do be aware, however, if you are looking for an isolated cabin in the woods, this one is part of 12 cabins along the river, like a campground. It was quiet and everyone was great, but you will have neighbors. I loved my stay...

"Greeted by Parker on arrival and he showed us the ropes. The whole area is lovely - the cabins, river, nature trail, walking path. It was an experience well absolutely have again in the near future!!"

"We had a great stay and loved the location and view of the river. The place was very clean and well stocked. There was also a basket full of snacks and goodies for us. The refrigerator also had bottled water and drinks. The host was very kind and responsive to us. We will definitely be back again. "

"Quiet home with tons of privacy. No issues. We enjoyed our stay despite our Grandbaby being over a week late. "

"Great property and what an amazing town! This house is loaded with cool antiques but with all the modern conveniences. Like the town, this house appears to be fairly old with internal brick walls in some rooms. It sparked a discussion about how the house evolved over time. Right on the Maumee River (beautiful!), next to a park and literally walking distance (2-5 minutes) to all of the downtown which has a number of cool little shops and businesses. Wish we could have stayed longer! Best...

"Beautiful large house. We truly enjoyed our time together here. We had 7 adults and we had plenty of room to relax and enjoy. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Great communication with the hosts. We definitely would love to return in the future! "

"My family stayed in this cabin over the weekend and had a great time. The owners are so kind and thoughtful, offering supplies, suggestions, and even to light our fire for us. The spot on the river is beautiful and being so close to Metroparks and trails was a big plus. The cabin was cute and thoughtfully supplied with snacks and games. "

"The house was roomy. The beds comfortable ( except for the futon)Plenty of needed items in the kitchen.Plenty of places to see in the surrounding area. Local stores like Aldi, Walmart etc close by. The downtown area was within walking distance and fun to visit. "

"My college friend and I were there for our annual three day getaway. We love small towns and visiting all the stores and antique shops. Defiance was charming!We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the General’s Quarters. Everything there was just what we needed.. we would highly recommend it to anyone."
