Historic 3-bedroom (2 KINGS, 1 Queen ), 2-bathroom home with a PRIVATE entrance, master en-suite bath, dining room, kitchen, PRIVATE courtyard and back garden and RARE driveway parking option.

Situated on the 1st floor of a 5-family townhouse, with an emphasis on comfortable furnishings, organic amenities and excellent customer service.

I am an experienced host who has been awarded Premier Host Status on VRBO.

I provide guests the same five-star touches that I look for when I travel: lodging located in a gorgeous upscale neighborhood, safety, cleanliness, high-speed Internet, comfortable furnishings, and upscale linens, towels, mattresses, and kitchenware.

Spacious home rests on a quiet tree-lined street in one of the safest, most preferred areas of DC. We are mingled among beautiful mansions, embassies and presidential dwellings.

The space is renovated and has 1800 square feet of indoor living area, featuring high ceilings, tall windows and original French doors. Enhancing those quarters are two private outdoor areas: the courtyard for dining alfresco and the patio for conversation around the back garden.

For extra convenience, there is a washer-and-dryer available for guest use.

Comfortable contemporary and antique furnishings are accented by eclectic decor. You’ll find the kitchen well-stocked. The master bedroom nicely sized, with an organic king mattress and en-suite bath. The garden bedroom is even larger, with a king mattress and French doors leading to the back garden. The third bedroom is small and rustic, yet the glass ceiling gives you the thrill of gazing at the stars from bed.

Steps from our door you will find a corner market and a dry cleaner. Just a few blocks beyond you'll enjoy restaurants, cafes, salons, theater and shopping.

Price is seasonal and is based on 3 lodgers.

Driveway parking is available and can be added to your quote, should you require it.

Great place

The property was in a fantastic location, and well-maintained. If you don’t mind sharing a roof/ceiling/wall with someone this property as ideal. I loved the convenience of the store downstairs, and the proximity to getting around DC. The owners were very responsive. Note, there is no television! Wi-Fi work perfectly fine

Lovely location

This property is a wonderful respite in a place that is close to all necessities. The courtyard and garden are so quiet and restful. Getting rides and food delivery was simple and the neighborhood is lovely to walk around in.

Goood location on a quiet street, but close to DuPont Circle; responsive landlord; very nice towels and linens; cute garden. Not a problem for us, but if you have younger kids, no TV.

Best Stay Ever!

Exquisite, soothing, delightful! Gorgeous and convenient location. Kind and extremely helpful host. Staying there felt like visiting a fascinating relative in Italy who has exquisite taste and boundless warmth. Honestly one of the best travel experiences I have ever had, and I travel a lot! I cannot reccomend this property highly enough.

Funky hideaway

You know when you find a restaurant or a parking spot that is so good you want to keep it to yourself? Same with this lovely, funky spot. It may not suit everyone...it's not a cookie-cutter hotel room...but the large windows and outdoor space made it an oasis for us. The manager was super professional and prompt, making this an effortless family retreat for us. I can't wait to return.

My parents stayed here for 2 weeks and it was perfect for what we needed. Clean, well stocked, beautiful garden and lovely decor. Everything is on one floor and has walk in showers. Gloria is a joy to work with. She was extremely accessible and answered all of our questions immediately.

A rare gem nestled in a neighborhood of embassies

This Is one of those times when I don't want to give a superb review because I don't want everybody to know about how great this place is, but that that would be unfair of me wouldn't it? This beautiful home on the ground floor with 2 courtyards and an adorable living area and 3 bedrooms with very comfortable beds is a few blocks off of Dupont circle and, folks, it is just perfect. The kitchen is just the cutest thing ever with a fireplace and very well equipped with vintage dishes and everything you could need. There is a lovely neighborhood small grocer and liquor store and, if you need it thru provide dry cleaning service, about 80 steps away from the entrance, If you want to experience life in a town home neighborhood in Washington DC this is the place for you. I would not recommend this for people with small kids...this is a beautiful home filled with nice objects and I would be nervous to have a little kid running around grabbing at things but that's just me... The owner I worked with, Gloria, was super friendly and low key. This is a charming home in a real keeper for me I will be coming back.

Fabulous!

Spotlessly clean. Quiet. Oodles of charm. Terrific owner. Why would anyone stay anywhere else in Washington? Truly a treat- this is the kind of place we hope to find for a vacation rental, but rarely find. The owner has succeeded in creating a welcoming home that is alive and fun without being cluttered or overdone. Thank you so much for hosting us this week - we would love to return!

Christmas in Washington

It is actually rather difficult to describe how very comfortable this home is; it is situated in a fabulous area of the city and is incredibly quite and convenient. The owner is lovely to communicate with and always very responsive. I would definitely come back here again!

This property offers: open space, two patio gardens, windows galore for bringing in the outdoors, all ground floor housing, comfy furniture and beds for lounging, artistry of antiqued home decor. Host cares for guest comfort with excellent towels and bedding, prompt responses. The home is approximately 4 blocks from DuPont Circle Metro in lovely neighborhood near Embassy DC housing. Comfortable Quiet Place to Stay

We were four seniors visiting Washington D.C. for the July 4th week. After long hot days with plenty of walking, we were ready quiet relaxation. This home is located in a very nice, safe, peaceful neighborhood. There is a little marketplace about 200 steps from the property where you can obtain food, snacks, etc. The property is not new. However, it is very comfortable. It has two outdoor patios. If you travel by Uber, they come right to the property. We never had to wait for one to come pick us up. The Metro and bus pickups are not that far if you choose to walk. Our landlord was quick to respond to our questions. The beds our very comfortable. There are lots of nice restaurants in the area. TV is not an amenity and it is stated so in the listing. We never missed it. If we needed weather information or local news about events, we used our iPhones and laptops. All in all it was a great trip and a wonderful stay.
